I want them to keep Rondo if they can, but its not the end of the world if Rondo decides to leave. I know i'd prefer him leaving than to see the Lakers overpay to keep him.

Just flip Cook and Kuz for D-Rose and move on.

CPaul is way to $ for his age.

Rondo, KCP Lebron, Caruso, AD, Bradley,

Even Green is two years.

I would like to see Ibaka, A shooter, and Maybe Cousins ,

Go for good Chemistry Guys. Lakers need hustle Defenders and 3 point shooters not the biggest contract guys.

I'm not comfortable paying him over 8-12m/2years, given the injury history, age and his lack of commitment during regular season.

Do we have his bird rights or is he gonna cost us the BAE?

Keeping him on our team for 10-11 million per yr for two years is not only helpful to us directly w playoffs but also an additional benefit of keeping him away from the hobos for another 2 years of his life.

He's the best playmaking playoff guard on the market now (pound for pound) and do NOT want him to go to the slums of LA

I believe in order to resign Rondo for more than the vet-min, they would have to use one of their exceptions. Either the bi-annual starting at a max of about 3.3m or the non tax payer starting at a max of 9.9m. In either case the can give raises in subsequent years at a max of 5%.

Joke's on ATL if they dont make the playoffs, cuz Rondo doesnt help teams in the regular season! Also good chance if ATL has a poor season Rondo is gonna pop his mouth off and try to force a trade.

It is a hur away from Lousiville, and I think it is a good chance he will try to coach there. They offered Vince an announcing job there before ESPN signed him. I can see Rondo trying to teach Young and then trying to coach what equates to his home team

With that said.. I'm glad we didn't pay him $7M a season.

Didn't know if I'd ever get past Rondo's tainted past. Felt like Rocky-4 for me: "If I can change, and you can change...."

7mil is too rich for my blood. Much like Howard, I think we squeezed the best of what was left. Everyone walks away a winner. They gave us a great season, they got a title...and both earned contracts moving forward. We got #17
