I don't think the Nets can do a sign and trade at all for Serge because they blew way past the luxury tax apron with the signing of Joe Harris. They can only offer the taxpayer MLE I think.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

If that's true...there is no way Serge throws away millions to go to BK. After the year he's just had and making 24 million...he might take a small pay cut but he ain't leaving money on the table...and that means he's returning to Toronto.

They can do a sign and trade they just can’t give the full regular MLE

A team with a payroll above the apron can only receive a player in a sign-and-trade if the transaction drops that team's payroll below the apron. ... The taxpayer mid-level exception is a limited financial buffer that teams with total payroll above the luxury tax threshold must use to sign players for up to 3 years.

So they can do a trade but incoming salary has to bring them under apron. So basically they have to send out more salary than what they take back.

Not sure Masai would want to take on more salary due to 2021 free agency

The Clippers are too desperate. I am guessing they take Serge.

Baynes 1 year 10 Mil, 5 mil 2 years with a player option for Giles and then convert Watson

Kyle/Flynn/TD/Mccaw
Fred/Norm/Thomas/Harris
OG/Watson
Pascal/Brissett (2 way)
Baynes/Giles/Hernandez

2018 My Top Guys (no particular order): Doncic, JJJ, Zhaire Smith, Miles Bridges, Knox, Wendell, Bamba, Ayton, Sexton, Brown, Huerter, Okogie, Svi,

I think we might be able to get Serge to agree to 2 years 30. 2nd year with a 5 million guarantee. If we need the space we've got to waive and stretch that 5 million over 3 years or find a place to trade him to with nothing coming back.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

that’s what I think the Lakers are doing with Harrell. Those LA teams play dirty and they seem to be above the rules.

They are currently 18 million over the tax line. The Apron is 6 million over the tax line. So we'd need to take back 12 million more than we send back. Don't think that's happening.

I think the hold up is working out the $ details so Masai still has room to bring in Giles and Serge still feels he's being respected.
Everybody is losing their freaking minds. Nutbars and wingnuts have infested this forum. We've become a public lavatory without cleaning staff.

unless you include a 3rd team and bkn gives up some picks.
