Not a fan of dipping into the MLE to sign him. Would rather just have Bowman or someone like that on a minimum...while preserving the full tax MLE for someone else.

Monte Poole tweeted this was for the vet minimum. Not sure if that's separate or if this deal was used with part of the the MLE.

They use the rest of Iguodala's TPE to sign him, maybe?
Edit: Nvm, he's a UFA, so they probably did use part of the MLE.

I find this signing really odd. Mainly because I have no idea who he is.

Solid rotation combo guard who will hit his open shots and play hard on defense from the Celtic

Celts fans (mostly ) seem sad to see him go. Thats a good sign

I know his name, but not his game. Looking at highlights and stats... a few things stand out.
Excellent FT%... like elite.
He looks solid... he's only 6'3" but he's 210 lbs.
Looks like he has pretty good hands and can be a pest defensively.

He's like a step up from Bowman, no?
I mean, he played meaningful minutes for a playoff team last year. 71 of 72 games. I'd say he's a step up from Bowman.

Wanamaker is better than Bowman if anybody is wondering. Makes stupid mistakes sometimes on offense, but I think his role here is mainly for defense. Has a good 3 point percentage but on limited attempts. Overall, better signing than some of the options.

Underrated...A lot of guys are too expensive for us, but this contract gives us a lot of value.

Yeah Bowman is a g-league guy
Wanamaker is a seasoned vet, playing overseas. Think he won a championship somewhere in Europe and had some good playoff experience this year.
Decent upgrade

His scouting report coming in is what my perception of him was, I’ve watched him since he played at Pittsburgh.

Bowman has too much tunnel vision.
Good handles but isn't really a pg that shoots from distance well.
We did need a backup pg

I would rather have picked up a wing who can run the team or a longer PG.
