Looks like Detroit isn't bringing Wood back. they just signed Plumlee and Okafor.

I want Ibaka back, but if he’s keen on the Nets, could we sign and trade with a pick for Lavert?

Ibaka S&T to the nets for Allen + Prince

Lowry / Flynn / TD
Fred / Norm / Thomas
OG / Prince
Siakam / Boucher
Allen / C / Hernandez

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Resign Ibaka on a 1 or 1 +1 team option

Grab Giles and pat connaughton and call it a weekend.

Then evaluate trades

Why would ibaka agree to a team option?
Only way ibaka comes back is on a 1 year deal

Pat re-signed with bucks

The assumption was we overpay so why wouldn’t he.

Didn’t see pat resign. What wing players are left that are passable nba players ? With maybe slight potential

Raps need to get rid of mccaw and stanimal for a better prospect. Maybe stanimal comes back improved but who knowd. Thats 2 rostor spots. Thr rsps can use some bigger 4 and 5s

I'm ok if we bring in Giles, but he can't shoot. Arron Baynes can stretch the floor, set mean screens and body up Drummond and Embiid.

Call me crazy, but Boogie Cousins can probably be come in for cheap. Anyone willing to take a chance on him (providing he is healthy and clears all medical physicals?)

Baynes for the MLE if Serge is out (1 year, $9.5M). Giles for 1 year, $3M. Batum for vet min. Leave about $4M for any midseason trades we need to make (Oladipo, Turner, etc.).

Giles is only 22, perfect flier for our program. Giles gives us athleticism and rebounding and a small ball 5 to play speed ball with. Batum is definitely not what he was but in a bench role can definitely be a 3+D and defend the 3/4 when OG is off.

Lowry/Flynn/TDII
Fred/Norm/McCaw
OG/Thomas/Harris
Pascal/Batum/Stanley
Baynes/Giles/Dewan

Don't have the money. Lowry, Fred, Pascal and now Serge in your scenario would be getting the big bucks, and the team does NOT want to go into the tax.

Here's Dan Hackett's take on where we are for this season and 2021.

The problem with this is that Prince has two years on his deal. So I think the Nets would need to throw in a first heavily protected. Prince would go to a team like the Knicks and Allen would come to us. We also get a TPE for the value difference between Allen and Serge.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

interesting. so serge and a vet min guy, or two lower tier/salary bigs. so serge and giles may not be possible

Bet next signings for the Raps will be 1yr deals. Serge most likely gone :(. The left over FA who's looking for jobs will force to take 1yr deals.

Something's going on. It wouldn't take this long to settle things with Serge. Must be an S&T to the Nets, but we're not taking back 2021 salary unless the piece is REALLY good - like Lavert. But Nets wouldn't offer Caris for Serge, would they?

Sign and trade Serge for Jarrett Allen and Tauren Prince? Where do I sign up. Allen has upside and is a great rim protector and roller to the basket. I'd also sign Harry Giles to replace Rondae Hollis Jefferson

FVV/Flynn
Lowry/Norm/McCaw
OG/Prince/Matty Ice
Pascal/Giles
Allen/Boucher/Hernandez

This team defesively gets better and younger.

With Myles Turner wanting out...

Can we put a package enticing enough for the Pacers?

Norman, TD, 2 Firsts and fillers

Myles is someone you can take a flier on with First round picks because he is still young. On a bigger contract than his production represents. Would be great to feature for our future and present. Fits our team like a glove.

The assumption is we sign Ibaka on a 1 year deal. And walk away from Gasol.

This is very realistic, but Batum is done and Boucher will probably be back.
