So, we traded Leuer's expiring for Snell's 2 years deal, and we got the #30 pick for taking on the extra year.

We donated the #30 to Cleveland.

We traded Snell's expiring for Dedmon contract, so we could waive and stretch that contract.

We will be paying 4 million per year of cap space, for 5 years for the #30, and we didn't even end up with the #30 pick.

Brilliant. 4D chess.

Snell trade didn't directly result in it, but it played a key role in signing Plumlee. So we can can add paying Plumlee $8.3 mil for the next 3 years to this equation as well.

$2.8M a year for the next five years if Dedmon retires or only signs for the league minimum.

Also Jordan Bone was waived and Detroit doesn't even have rights to the 2023 2nd from Portland anymore.

So all Detroit winded up getting, is the draft rights to Sirvydis + $3 million cash

Players like Dedmon and Plumlee are only worth the league min. Oh wait Weaver just called to disagree and offered me a draft pick. Musta been a wrong number.
