Yah, we lost a ton of that when we lost Mook. This will definitely be an addition in the grit category.

Not that we should pay him that much. But I think that's the max we can go without going above the tax line. It doesn't have to be Bogs. It's just that he's the best FA left in the market that fills a need.

Just turn it into a three team deal. Hayward to CHA, Bogs + TPE to BOS, Zeller+Boston Draft Capital to SAC. Sign Bogs to the max you can while staying out of the tax and enjoy having a very large TPE you can use next offseason. Charlotte gets their guy without waiving Batum and Sac gets a young center that saves them from a Whiteside mistake plus draft compensation.

nah, we would be hard capped. The tpe we would get would be like 10m and not usable till next offseason. We already have tht 5 and2 m one already.

Yup between him and Baynes....throwing those two and Smart out there at once must have been brutal for other teams

I'm happy with Thompson and Teague. We needed help up front - check. We needed vet backup pg that could score - check
If we somehow end up with Boggo too.... Wow, thats a huge win. Remember, he was supposed to be going to the Bucks a few days ago and now he might be here? That weakens them and strengthens us. That would be some very nice icing tonight

On top of that, we need to stick it to Indiana who is rumored to be looking to get Bogs via S&T.

Sacramento would need to add Holmes going to CHA since Bogda S&T triggers BYC.

Hard cap wouldn't be much of an issue. Cs would be right at the tax line with 15 guys. Can go lower depending on Bogdan's starting. TPE would be somewhere between $12M to $17M depending on the starting salaries of Hayward and Bogdan. Higher end if Gordon's salary is declining.

Haha, thanks! We've seen our share of meltdowns here over the years, but today was flat-out embarrassing. I felt like coming out swinging (low key) to quell my disappointment in everything.

2007 draft lotto omg, that wasn't the worst from celtics fans though, that was the amount of trolling from every fan on realgm because we "tanked" on purpose and karma gave us 5.

Then all there teams started doing it and still do....

The draft where Ainge took Jaylen was pretty ugly. I'm surprised you thought this was embarrassing though? Fandom is just another word for fanatical and the posters on this board fill that definition to a tee. It's the timing of everything on top of each other and just the tension building. Then watching the trades go down on Tuesday, nothing happens. The rumors are swirling and the Celtics are involved in every one of them. Then the draft comes and again the Celtics stand pat after all the rumors again. Finally, free agency hits and again rumors are swirling and they are extremely in depth. Gordon was a polarizing player here the entire time, it's no wonder when he signed and Ainge lost the opportunity to get something back it was a huge release - and not necessarily a positive one. Regardless, Celtics fans are among the most passionate of any fan base. I'm so bad it's gotten to the point where I DVR the games and can only really watch the wins - admittedly two young kids don't help but the point is the same. If you add a global pandemic on top of it I would have been surprised if there wasn't a meltdown of epic proportions. Good on you guys for keeping the faith, but cut some slack to the more reactionary members of the posters - me included.

Would be a huge blow for Raps to lose both of them with really limited options to replace them

Damn, so Ibaka got the MLE after all?

I wonder how hard we went after him. He would’ve been absolutely perfect for Brad’s system.

Brad likes his bigs to be able to play out of the DHO and make quick reads. That's his biggest weakness and Ibaka isn't all that switchable. Obviously you like the floor-stretching aspect but I think TT was the right call for us.
