I mean, the Celtics frontcourt should be informative here. They lost Al Horford and Baynes for nothing and were basically the same team after on offense and defense.

Raptors shouldn't be investing heavily in the C position in 2020.

Baynes/Boucher/Hernandez. That's good enough.

There was never much air anyway. Winning a round is meaningless. This franchise needs a superstar if it intends to contend again for the foreseeable future.

Ya but winning a round this year could have been interesting knowing we are going after a superstar the following season. Now I expect utter trash this season relatively to where we've been for the past few years.

We weren't expected to win a round going into last year either. Let's see who we sign at C before jumping off a bridge.

Good point - although we don't have a Theis at the moment.

What about Whiteside ?

So you go Whiteside full MLE, Stein Bi-annual Exemption, Giles Minimum

I like how people are complaining that we won't win a round - and in the next breath are complaining that we are a treadmill team...

Atm its looking bleak....Every team upgraded that was a contender last year but us it seems...We took a step back and lost one of our better players in Ibaka...With really no one to replace him in free agency...tbh idek if we will sign another player this offseason besides a bottom feeder

Ok let me know who we sign. I'll wait on the ledge until then. Only 2 of Baynes, Whiteside, Gasol, Cousins and Giles would make me come back down lol.

I don't think I've ever seen the Masai and Bobby in desperation mode... lol. unprecedented times.

They’re not in desperation mode lol. The most they’re giving Gasol, like Serge, is a one year deal. Desperation would be giving Serge a 3 year $60 million deal and blowing chances for 2021.

We can give him a MLE deal at most but they don’t want that kind of personality here.

Think we do not have the Biennial this offseason. Raps will want a spacing big. Baines comes to mind there on a one year. Biz rim protects. That is a couple of looks.

Or, welcome back Marc!

So hear me out - are we sure we want to make win now moves this year? I mean, we aren’t going to be top 10 in the draft but we aren’t picking 29th or 30th either.

If there was ever a season to limit Lowry’s minutes and let all of the young guys play, this is the one. I wouldn’t mind a late teens pick and a max spot in summer 2021.
