Agreed. And even if he had something left and want to return to the NBA, why would he want to sign here at this point? He'd be better off joining a title contender to try and help them win a Championship and get his 2nd ring to match his brother Pau.

Man I don’t see an avenue for us to get better than last year.

I want Baynes at the very least. We’ll probably see OG at the 5 a lot next season too.

Serge made defensive mistakes all the time, which was his key failing for me. Team was always much better with Gasol on court defensively.

If there was ever a season to limit Lowry’s minutes and let all of the young guys play, this is the one. I wouldn’t mind a late teens pick and a max spot in summer 2021.

Who are these young guys? We don’t have prospects outside of TD and Malachi. The entire team is full of veterans.

OG, Watson, Harris, and Flynn are all “young” even if they aren’t 19. Siakam, Powell, and FVV still growing pains to work through. If you throw in a Giles (23) or another young flyer FA, you’re team building the right way by letting the young guys play in anticipation of signing a max guy or using your max cap space.

There's no way the Raptors FO wouldn't have drafted a big knowing Ibaka wasn't gonna come back.
Was reaaaally hoping we'd draft Perry in the second round.

Sign RHJ and get Aaron Baynes and CauleyStein.
So all those people who didn't want Ibaka signed, how do you stretch the floor now?

Boogie looks mobile and slim in recent videos. Probably the move with the highest ceiling from all the C's available.

If we want to lure a big time FA next year then we should still be competitive rather than be in rebuild mode. I think our goal is to remain within the top 3 of the conference to be able to attract a Giannis or a Gobert. It's not in our DNA to roll over especially when we have guys like Lowry and FVV on the team.

Losing Ibaka isn't the end of the world imo. Just try to pick up a competent center and re-sign Boucher.

Agreed about remaining competitive, but I’m also being very cautious with minutes in a year where we’re likely not winning a title. That being said, with our culture Boucher and Watson are more likely to average double digits than we are to tank.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ellenson signed. Who knows he might be ready to make the move to rotation player. The man can shoot. We get one of Gasol, Biyombo, Baynes and fill the rest with Boucher, OG, Ellenson, Siakam and front court has some shooting, rebounding and defence. Siakam really needs to learn not to ball watch under the Raptor basket.

tbh this was always a bridge year until 2021 to lure a max level player. Nothing has really changed from that.

Low IQ player. We need high IQ big men who can play defense.
