Myles is someone you can take a flier on with First round picks because he is still young. On a bigger contract than his production represents. Would be great to feature for our future and present. Fits our team like a glove.

That's 40 mill in salary you're bringing in, and sending out 20 mill. Unless the Pacers want 31-year-old Serge for some reason, it's not happening. He did have some good games against them last season, but they're not in win-now mode.

And for the Raptors, the clear strategy is to have max cap space in 2021 (Turner's contract runs to 2023). Masai's not going to mess with that strategy unless there's a clear superstar available (like Harden).

I think it’s pretty clear at this point they are not taking on any 2021 salary. So any signings likely will be one year or two years with a team option. This also rules out nearly any Brooklyn S&T unless a 3rd team is involved, because they don’t have enough expirings to match what we’re offering Serge for one year.

Pretty much what’s left is going to be one year deals on centers and SFs plus Boucher. People are spot on with Giles, Baynes, etc. We are getting into a bidding war for Gasol or even Serge because we’re not eating into the 2021 tax space. And to show how the margins are slim - we don’t even have the cap space right now. We’re banking on Norm opting out and / or moving his contract which may take a pick to do if teams know we’re in the running for a Giannis or Beal.

Only if you want to take yourself out of the 2021 sweepstakes, and you don’t do that for Lavert.

I think Serge coming back is a fairly decent sized assumption right now. He’s working towards a multi-year deal. If someone wasn’t offering that, he would have already signed. We can give him more than the MLE (meaning more than anyone else) because of his bird rights. That tells me we aren’t offering anything beyond this year and that someone out there is trying to make space for a larger-than-MLE, multi-year deal.

I think we need to start looking into teams that have serviceable bigs with the expiring contracts in the range of $20 million.

Casey got Delon Wright back

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

I have no idea if this is realistic, but here’s a fun one:

To Dallas:
Lou Will
Noah

To Toronto:
James Johnson
Luke Kennard

To LAC:
S&T Serge @ 3 years $60 million

Yeah I was talking about this with someone today. I love lavert (Michigan fan) and I just don’t see anything working with nets that really works for us.

Lavert is good but with Lowry, fvv, Powell, og, thomas I don’t think he makes us better. Why would we facilitate direct competition unless it clearly makes us better

If the Pacers can't land Bogdanovic, wonder if they'd be interested in Norm. Norm + for Turner

Honestly if Gasol doesn't sign, Masai might have f*cked up. The market on Bigs isn't great and feels like anyone we nab is a downgrade.

Ya, sooooo let's do a 3-way.

Pacers get: healthy Bogdan Bogdanovic

Toronto gets: iffy Victor Oladipo

Sacramento gets: Norman Powell, Terence Davis and Patrick McCaw

Not much left out there.

Sign Baynes to 6M × 2 and either Biz (3M × 1) or Diallo (3M × 2).

Sign Kaleb Wesson to a 2-way.

Sign GRIII (3M × 1) or Dotson (3M × 1)

Baynes - Diallo - Wesson
Pascal - Boucher
OG - Dotson
FVV - Norm - Thomas
Lowry - Flynn - TDIII

We need to use Norm to acquire a big. Not another guard.

Potential targets: Turner, Aldridge, Gobert
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

Honestly at this point....im looking at this guy.....he's long, young and athletic + former 6th pick....low risk high potential (medium potential lol)

Turner is multi-year contract so doesn't fit.
Gobert makes too much to salary match and requires assets we won't want to include.
Aldridge is possible if Spurs would take Norm, Stanley and McCaw for him. We'd be taking on 5 million extra but he's expiring. This is your winner.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….
