Best case now is a sign and trade scenario where we can get Kabengele/filler and that leaves the Clippers with the MLE to get a PG. Works to the benefit of both teams.

Maybe we can use this season to prove to Giannis why he's the missing piece at C for us

I think this was always the purpose of this year.

At this point the best case scenario is probably to re-sign Gasol for $10 mil or less (hopefully less), and then split the MLE amongst 2 other bigs like Giles and Biz or something. That could be manageable, although we certainly would lose some floor spacing.

We need to use some of the MLE on a 3/4 otherwise Stanimal is in the rotation.

Yeah, it sucks, but at least he's a warm body. Right now we only have 3 players at C or PF amongst our 17 roster spots (including two-ways) - Siakam, Boucher (and that's assuming he takes the QO), and Hernandez. We need bodies at those positions.

Maybe we need to throw that offer sheet at Kostas that the hardcapped Lakers can't match.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

What happened to RHJ? The guys was getting minutes during the season, and then was in the doghouse most of this summer.

Perhaps we tempt Giannis with his countryman Kosta Koufous. It's hard times out here.

Also he signed with the Spurs, since they love guys who can't shoot.

Honestly, Aaron Baynes isnt a bad option at all.

The man can Defend, Rebound, and had his best 3pt shooting season last season. He had a 37 pt career game just this past season. The only question with him is that he's injury prone

In fairness...I'd be okay with both as stop gaps :P

As poor as Gasol has been offensively, he still can be useful and a net positive.

I am also convincing myself that losing Ibaka is okay, because he is approaching the part of his career where his future with us would have been murky, had it continued into this upcoming season anyways.

Just get baynes he's the best option available

I mean if Gasol is ring chasing, Raps are better off than GSW for next year lol. Especially with Klay being out the whole season.

West is also far tougher than east

I'm glad New Orleans did that stupid Steven Adams trade because Gasol is what they actually needed not him.

I don't know how we gonna perform without Gasol and Ibaka. Very curious to see who we getting to replace those 2.

Return to Toronto Raptors
