It had nothing to do with a "breakdown." He can't rebound, can't defend, can't just outhustle everyone (since every player is playing hard in the playoffs) and isn't skilled enough to score at the same rate against quality playoff defenses.

Exactly. Couldn't agree more. Trez is a regular season guy who feasts on bench guys. He's undersized to play center and doesn't have the skills required to play PF. Yeah he'll give them 17 point games in the regular season but come playoffs where the rotations get tight it'll be the same story again.

Even if true, he was our 7th-highest paid player. At 18 ppg he more than earned his money. Why are we blaming him for this?? Even as the garbage he was on the defense end, you weren't going to beat the Nuggets with defense. You had to outscore them. Trezz put up 20. Kawhi and PG put up 22--COMBINED.

Yep, he’s the 6 hole hitter in the MLB with 20-25 HRs. You brag to your friends how deep your lineup is. Then you realize most of that 20 to 25 is against 4th and 5th starters, and mediocre relievers when you get to the playoffs and he can’t hit good pitching.

Only difference is, Trezz’s sucking had more of an impact on the team than a 6 hole hitter and Doc, village idiot here, kept forcing him in to try to get this guy reps for some showdown with the Lakers....like Trezz was gonna become the rebounder and defender we needed if we kept throwing him out there.

Was super frustrating to watch. I’m glad both sides of the problem are gone and we can move on.
