Best:
1. Lakers - they were the clear best team in 2020 but I think they might've taken a small step back. Losing Dwight, Rondo and Bradley isn't offset by getting Trez. Even then I'll have to see the Lakers actually play worse or other teams play better for them to lose the #1 spot.

2. Heat - they made some solid moves and I can imagine the young guys continuing to get better. There are a couple teams with potential to be better (Clips, Nets, Bucks mainly) but I'll have to see it to believe it.

3. Clippers - so far they've looked like they have been making actual progress. Doc and Trez are gone, they really just need a PG who can pass and they might jump right back to #1.

4. Blazers - if they have a bit more luck with staying healthy I see them as title candidates. They fixed their atrocious wing defense so I'm really looking forward to what they can accomplish this year.

5. Nuggets - toss up between the Nuggets and Celtics. Neither team really got better but they're still contenders. Went with the Nuggets because I trust Jokic a lot more than Tatum at this point.

I briefly mentioned the Nets and Bucks but I'm going to wait with judging the Nets till we see how good KD is when he returns from injury. Bucks have great talent but some glaring problems. While the Clippers seem to be taking serious steps to fix their stuff, I'm not as optimistic about Jrue fixing the Bucks.

Worst:
30. Knicks - they're the Knicks.

29. Pistons - they lost the only player they should've kept. Unless Griffin and Rose somehow don't get injured this team isn't winning a lot.

28. Thunder - rebuild but done right. There is some young talent but with Al Horford as the only real vet they're not making the play-offs in the stacked west.

27. Cavaliers - I initially forgot about them, which isn't that strange because they've been completely irrelevant since Bron left and that shows no signs of changing anytime soon.

26. Bulls - there is talent but no real direction. I also considered the Wizards here but at least they have Beal. Wolves also aren't safe yet, their defense might just become historically bad but at least they have offensive firepower as well. Looking forward to 130-130 games every time.

6th highest SRS in the league last year by a comfortable margin with KP and Luka missing games and KP taking the first half of the season to round into form after missing 20 months of basketball games. Luka making another leap in his third year is a strong possibility.

You have the blazers better than the clippers?

Yes they had horrible off season even after getting Serge . They have no point guard .

Doesn't really matter in the regular season. In the playoffs it can become an issue since running the P&R well becomes more important as the defensive intensity goes up.

Lakers, Heat, Nuggets and Blazers have done really well..

Others.. Mehhh... Bogie deal would've made me include Bucks up there as well

Clippers (really a tie between the LA teams)
Lakers
Bucks
Mavericks (if Zingis healthy :-? and I think they made the right moves)
Sixers

the worst:
Pistons
Cavs
Kings
OKC (standings wise, great future obviously and I don't think Horford is going to finish his season there)
Bulls and NYK tied

What about the rockets?
I know they have their guys still but that roster is not looking to good.

Best:

1. Lakers
2. Clippers
3. Sixers
4. Celtics
5. Bucks

Worst is hard to predict because Harden or Westbrook could end up on the Bulls or Knicks and make them a contender. I expect every team to be competitive this coming year, the Hornets are going to be very good.

Still no third star and still way too reliant on Luka. Still an open book when it comes to KP's health.

Which team has a 3rd star? Name one?

They had the best offense in league history last season. What a dumb take.

Yes, i know...but there's not a 4th team in the West that can compete with their talent. Can we say the Nets are a Top 5 contender without knowing what KD's version we'll see? Celtics and Sixers are not better than the Nuggets right now in my opinion and the Rockets will be dismantled in days/weeks...
