The biggest news of the offseason isnt which average FA has signed for more money than they deserve. The biggest news so far is that none of the top 2021 free agents have extended yet.

You’re young tho. With main guys only getting better. Not the case with the Raptors.
That said, I trust Masai, he will make things happen.

12-2 without Kyle last season. Refuted.
14 game regular season sample lol

And what evidence do you have for your statement?

Every time I think about Lowry I get sad knowing hell be a year older and chances of him starting to decline are closer. The guy is still our best player and I want him to retire here. I'm not sure what direction we're going this year yet.

With or without ibaka this team was not going to contend next year. Ibaka might move us ip a few in the standings but that’s it. Raptors will be a playoff team and maybe make it to the second round. 2021 was masai a plan all along, ibaka probably wanted a longer contract to stay in Toronto, masai probably offered him a one year deal. As good as ibaka was for us He really isn’t that effective without a quality point gaurd. Having him at his age beyond 2021 doesn’t fit in our plan.

Trust in masai

Wait and see if Kyle leaves. There’s going to be a huge meltdown here because some people seem to think thats impossible. It might not be the money the Raptors offer him. it might be the chance to win 1 more championship thats he’s after and Lebron might come calling, the Clippers might come calling, Brooklyn might come calling and we know about the Lakers and Clippers under the table payments so even if the Raptors are offering him more on books he might still get a chuck of change offs the books from the Clippers or the Lakers. People thinks it’s impossible but Masai has probably prepared himself for that with Fred and Flynn. He made sure Fred is locked up and Flynn is more than capable of being a back up that’s not years away so Kyle could indeed be looking for another watering hole. When frank came here he studied more than just kawhi. They might very well be plotting on Lowry next. They could be trying to be the Raptors of LA.

Hopefully we suck hard and get decimated by injuries while we are playing in Tampa then have a max slot plus a top 5 pick

Lol, one chip and everyone expects a finals run every season. only on rgm.

Although we had a second round exit this past season, we definitely overachieved and beat most expectations of how successful we'd be. We had serious injury probs but still found a way to win. We lost kawhi and didn't replace him with anyone. We still finished second in the east and the league overall. We came within a few missed free-throws and some offensive lapses from the ecf. Given where we started on paper with the roster, most of us here agreed a second round exit was our ceiling - and we did just that.

Its hard to predict what this squad will be capable of because they just have overachieved so much in recent years. Maybe nurse continues to be a zen on the sidelines and uses small ball to perfection. Maybe og takes the next step and is able to cary us along with pascal. Maybe klow continues to age gracefully and continues to carry us with fvf in the backcourt.

Whatever happens, just enjoy the ride and remember we just won a chip in the previous season and should be competitive in the 2021 free agent market which could be quite strong. We have a culture and management that so far has been spot on for several years and should serve us well. But we won't be championship contenders forever or ever single year, so manage your expectations accordingly.

There is a reason we drafted Flynn.. Kyle might be gone after next season or even during the season. He might not be able to mentally take a reserve role next season. See what happens.

Remember teams saw that Lowry can win with a superstar so they might be looking to add him with whoever they have. Don’t count out Philly either. Lowry might want to play in front his family and friends before he’s a shell of himself!

By the way, the DD/Lowry era produced a championship. DD was traded for a star and Lowry was a key contributor on a title team.

Teams that are 1 player away from a title are in a good spot.

Omg, not a treadmill team at all. Anyone paying attention knew that 2020 would be a bad year if we wanted flexibility next year. A year removed from a championship no less. We got some disgraceful posters here.

First Kawhi and Danny, now Serge and potentially Gasol. Damn.

With Lowry on his final year under contract, you have to wonder whether or not this will be his last year in Toronto.

I'm not particularly concerned about it, but it does signal that times are changing. We'll have Fred / Anunoby / Siakam to build around, but there will definitely be some challenging times ahead.

Would be crazy if Masai told all our good players to stay home for a year and add to their health/game. So we super tank for 1 season to get a high pick, to go along with our returning players next year and a max slot.

Keep reading how we have a max cap slot lol like they means sh*t if you don't have a superstar on the roster for another star to join....now if we were DAL you guys might have a point.

Lowry needs to be flipped to Philly asap for picks while Morey still has the league fooled into believing he's some genius lol

Having a max slot doesn't just allow you to sign someone, you also have the flexibility to trade for someone.

I can't people believe still don't trust Masai.
