Gasol can still body up anyone, hit the 3, and pass the ball. I would say with Gasols floor vision alongside Dray and Stephs we could really have the ball moving.

Problem is, Gasol is pretty washed up. Maybe as a mentor to Wiseman he has value though.

Yup, Chriss is better than injured Looney. But by all accounts Looney is healthy.

I'm curious about Chriss's contract. He was only partially guaranteed, becoming fully guaranteed if not waived by Jul 15. But with all the dates scrambled, I wonder what happened to guarantee dates.

If GSW is around a bottom seed, #7 or #8 in the West, they should be well out of the top 10 best records unless the East is a total dumpster fire and the #7 or #8 in the West has a better record than the top 2 or 3 seeds in the East.

That is where they're projected by many, getting a low seed if they make the playoffs at all and being a first round exit to either the #1 or #2 seed in the West.

Gasol would be big, would be the closest thing to Bogut since Bogut, he knows how to rotate, set screens, roll, switch...high high IQ and that will rub off on a lot of our young bigs

Agree whole heartedly. I think Gasol would be the perfect mentor for Wiseman. Prime Gasol's strengths were his defense, vision, high bb IQ and above-average shooting for a true center. Those are exactly the attributes you hope Wiseman develops. Sure, Dray can mentor Wiseman as well. But, Gasol and Wiseman are both true centers.

Gasol also brings another willing passer to the roster -- something that's lacking on the current roster.

Also, aside from Dray, Steph and Looney, this team is lacking players with playoff experience. It's really young and missing another Iggy, Shaun Livingston, David West type in the locker room. Oubre and Wiggins have never sniffed the playoffs. Having another respected vet in the locker room like Gasol will be helpful.

Bogut would be okay, but his arm damage means he absolutely can't shoot. Gasol can.

Also, Gasol getting 10-15 minutes a night for the regular season may have him looking like a different (younger) player.

Depends how badly the Raptors want Gasol back, now with Ibaka gone. They have his Bird rights so they can give him a nice 1 year deal.

I think it's down to Lakers vs Warriors on Gasol....and that's going to be a big win or loss. Lakers are thin at center...thin at point guard. Keeping Gasol away from them is pretty important.
