I can see us getting a TPE for the HOU second rounder in 23 we got from Mem. Should be the double draft and they should be drafting high sans Harden.

I disagree. We have good fans and history, but why are our expectations ridiculously higher than say the lakers?

They won a title because they got the cool kids. They did **** the last decade before that.

We have made the ecf 3 times last 4 years. In last 12 years 2 finals appearances and 4 ecf finals and 11 playoff appearances. That is high-level stuff. And, we got two stud you g guys u see 25

Agree to disagree. I expect winning from the team I root for, championships. If I am going to invest my time to watch and root for them, regardless if it is a few seconds, minutes, hours that’s what I expect. It is not enough to make the playoffs. That’s setting the bar too low. The bare minimum.

You can have any expectation you want. But it is unrealistic in a salary cap era to have. These expectations.

If they had these restrictions in the 60s the Celtics wouldn’t have won that many titles.

Tatum is totally going to end up dating a Kardashian/Jenner now. This sucks.

Sucks for who? That'd be awesome for him.

Sucks for anybody who wants him to be at his basketball best.

Think yall should reconsider your random hot take that a female would be responsible for Tatum's hypothetical performance.

Plus he has a girl.

I think the Celtics are working on something bigger, like Bog for example. Who saw the Tristan signing coming. I didn’t.

I dont care for Thompson personally but hes leagues better than Kanter and that's all that matters. If danny gets the exception that allows him to do a sign and trade or a mid season trade then this offseason was just fine.

ANYTHING other than losing Gordan for nothing.

Dude, Portland’s had a fantastic offseason. Goodness. They have starpower and depth. That’s a team to keep an eye on.

Someone somewhere would of signed Batum so find that team and make it a three team deal so we can get our 27.9 exception and they can get out of the remaining Batum contract?

No team would take Batum's contract. Sure they'll sign him, after he is waived and Charlotte is on the hook for the money.

I am actually wondering about this. It is not my money. What if you can get an asset from CHA for taking on Batum? Just curious if a relocation could get him back to being effective or is he physically shot? Batum alive and well playing effectively could actually help Boston would also be more valuable than a TPE which in itself has no value and Boston no long has lottery picks to attach to it.

Charlotte fans on the GB are passionately making the argument that he's completely cooked and specifically not to fall into the trap of thinking he just needs a change of scenery. Literally cautioning other teams not to trade for him, even though it would help them.

He missed a few weeks with a hand injury he suffered in October but aside from that it was purely well-earned DNP-CDs for him. He just doesn't have it anymore, any team that signs him for even the vet minimum will quickly discover he's not much more useful than Udonis Haslem at this juncture. Fwiw he's not a bad guy, he didn't complain at all when he never got any playing time. He's not a team cancer, just washed up.
Teams are going to be super disappointed. I understand why they'll try to talk themselves into it but it's just a waste of cap. Batum averaged 3.6ppg in 23mpg last year when he wasn't getting DNP-CDs, he barely puts up stats of any kind at this stage and isn't a good defender anymore. There were points last year where we'd marvel in the game threads at how long he'd been on the floor without a single point/rebound/assist.
I personally can't see him playing rotation minutes on any team, especially a contender. Too bad defensively, too turnover prone offensively and isn't a good enough shooter. He can show flashes bit the negatives outweigh the positives

If we get a nice big TPE, who might be available at the trade deadline if we wait? Teams who are out of the playoffs are always selling at the deadline. I almost prefer giving minutes early in the season to the youngsters and then adding a guy later for the playoff push.
I brings the ruckus to the ladies!
