As much as some people are mad about the serge situation. You can’t possibly think that Masai and Bobby doesn’t have a back up plan. Bobby spoke like he was sure Fred was coming back but never really spoke on serge. That tells me they probably knew there was a chance serge was leaving.

I personally just hope it’s not gasol. I hope it’s someone else on the market or some hidden talent they have somewhere. I think these guys have proven enough to us to the point we shouldn’t panic until it’s over. This whole thing is not over yet.

Try to trade S Johnson to a team with a little cap and a future second. Give the rest to RHJ as he can give you SF and PF mins.

RHJ signed with the Spurs. Stanley is the new RHJ.

I think that RHJ news was fake. He's still available. But do we really want him back?

Nurse might honestly go full fledged rockets and run a ton of small ball this year. This might be selective memory but i though rhj did ok at small ball 5

2pac is useful but the problem with him is he doesn’t know his limitations. We don’t need him to be a shot maker, shot created or anything like that. We just need him to play defense, grab boards and score “chippys”. This is what made biz useful when he was here. That guy understood we just needed him to protect the rim and grab boards.

Baynes for fit, and/or Bismack for emotional reasons.

Looks like we might get a really good look at Boucher and Dewan next year.

Probably not. He’s really not much different than Stanley and I don’t want him either.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Damn Giles gone, I guess were focused on a Gasol/Baynes center rotation. Maybe throw in Biz too at a Vet min.

We have 8 guards, I'd prefer to trade for a good Center than what's available in free agency

If that's the case we might as well trade Lowry/Norm and mail in the lost season in Tampa Bay

Time to think a little creatively. No point chasing any of the available middling traditional centres who will easily get chased off the court come playoff time.

First, try to bring Gasol back, but focus his role on being more a guy who gets called upon to face more conventional Cs. Having him around for an Embiid, Lopez or Jordan matchup may be worth a new contract in of itself.

Next, the crazy talk, BRUNO! Hear me out -- by all accounts, he's now a smart, nba-level defender and rebounder. The idea would be to have him as an option to play with Siakam and Anunoby when the matchup calls for an ultra-switchy, versatile frontcourt. If he can be a fifth option who doesn't disrupt the offense too much, this could be a plus. Think Rondae with less handles but a jumpshot.

It's getting tight to get decent center

what a disastrous free agency so far.

why the F would Giannis come here if he doesn't sign the supermax in Milwaukee.

Giles went to Portland and all we're left with is Boucher and maybe a decrepit Gasol

Boucher deserves a good chunk of consistent minutes this season. He has been an impact player on both ends of the court for almost every minute he's stepped on the floor for in his whole career. His size if definitely a negative in a lot of match-ups, so it is still very important that the Raps add a bigger Centre (Gasol? Cousins?) but I don't think giving Boucher a bigger role this season means that the Raps will be any less competitive then they were last season.
