I think the biggest roadblock is not being willing to give multi-year deals

Step back and look around. 90+% of these players are chasing money, other factors are down the list. More and more players are bouncing to different teams every season it seems. Just a different company to advance your career which is to max out earning potential. There are exceptions, but these are few.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Guys like Giles choosing a different team for a 1 year deal is not the end of the world. Most of these guys are 1 year rentals, not long-term options given we want to keep the max space for next offseason.

I have no clue what the hell is happening.

Why are Bobby and Masai not trying to get anyone to fill out our roster?

Hard to believe that we can legitimately get giannis next year when the B lvl players won't even sign with us

Really might backfire completely trying so hard to be 2021 free agent options

Didn't the Lakers blow their MLE on Harrell? How are they going to sign Gasol?

Even if giannis doesn't happen there are solid plan b and c option. That free agency class is deep. And noone is gonna be off the board until the giannis domino falls so we wouldn't have to worry about players passing us by while waiting for giannis decision.

Patience, young grasshopper.

what makes you think they aren't trying? They appear to be unwilling to hand out multi-year deals so we are still able to sign a max FA next summer, so it comes down to whether a player is willing to accept our 1 year offer vs. another team's.

One of the most coveted FA's of the entire market.

I'll take it.

Fred Van Vleet just signed. Ibaka and Gasol both signed extensions in the not so distant past.

Where are people getting this information?

Yet they all choose to sign one year deals somewhere else despite the clear open spot for playing time here.

How do you know they've been offered a spot here but turned it down?

Man it looks like the Bucks are loading up!
It would be a shame if Giannis leaves!!!
Meanwhile we are a few feet close to shamblelands if we don’t land a quality C.
