Makes absolutely no sense. We have a starting C and back-up C spot open and the guy signs to be a 3rd string C.

Who knows, maybe we just didn't go after him?

Maybe Masai thinks Giles isn't good? It's possible guys! Surely Giles would have signed here if we were interested as he'd get the most playing time.

I think the tune of the board will be very different in say...a week or so?

So much left to happen. Likely a lot that we didn't see coming.

When was it the last time a team lost both their starting center and their back up center in one off season? lol

I still believe Masai has something up his sleeve though so I'm not too worried.

How did the Celtics get better? They lost Hayward for nothing. Replaced Wannamker with teague. And Replaced knater with Tristan Thompson.

Consider how far they made it in the playoffs without Hayward. They won't miss him at all. They're better with Smart in the starting lineup. Fortunately, Ainge's greed cost them a Myles Turner or an Oladipo.
Replacing Wannamaker with Teague is neither an upgrade or downgrade.
But going from Kanter to Tristan Thompson is definitely a significant upgrade.
An all offense no defense big for a rebounding no defense big. HUGE upgrade!

Giles signing for the minimum tells you what the entire league thinks about him and his knees

maybe Masai can sit down and get through to Whiteside the way he did with Lowry so many years ago. I'm sure Whiteside must realize now that there's a reason he's in the situation he is now despite putting up the big numbers that he has.

It's weird going from having probably the best C rotation in the league to being stuck debating which FA C, if any, will join our team.

If you honestly believe they are "not trying" to get anyone, then yes, you have no clue

Bulls lost both Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol in 2016. Life goes on.

Are you suggesting Kanter is better than TT and that TT plays no defense?

I dont mind losing Marc Gasol. He got completely exposed in the Boston Series. I think Aaron Baynes is a better player anyway.

A Baynes/Boucher tandem going into next season isnt bad. Assuming Boucher can take that next jump.

Masai wasn't interested in Giles. He took a low contract in Portland for 1 yr to boost his value? Should have jumped at 1 yr with playing time on Raps in Tampa especially. Translation: our management didn't want him.

Give Ellenson a shot. Sign somebody to play 20 minutes only.

Let's take a chance on Demarcus Cousins. He's been back in the gym, lost weight, and we know he can be a walking bucket when healthy.

Cousins
Siakim
OG
Lowry
Fred

Norm
Malachi
Boucher

Maybe they're trading but from what I see in free agency, all the good talent is gone.

Until they show me you need to stfu and let people get their frustration out with this situation.
