Ugh, yeah, not getting it done this year or even next year.

Wow. I get feeling down about Klay’s injury and the lack of big name signings in FA, but I think you are being way too pessimistic. The Dubs needed wings and they now have adequate depth at the wing positions and when Klay returns next season the wing position will be a real strength (if we keep Oubre). I’m really liking the length and defensive chops at the wing. We have Wiseman, who should in the early stages of his career be a real defensive presence, lob threat and good rebounder. The team will be much better defensively. The big issue is shooting. Many people are looking at each acquisition’s career 3pt %. I am interested to see if Curry’s gravity and Kerr’s offense will increase those percentages a couple percentage points. The teams will be much better at attacking the basket, I am anticipating an increase in FTA this season.

Now look forward to 2021/22 season. Klay is back, you keep Oubre, Wiseman has a season of development, another season of development for Poole and Paschall and likely Minnesota’s lottery pick. The ownership is proving they will spend whatever it takes to win. I’m excited for the future myself.

I’m excited because of the warriors ownership group...they’ll do anything to win..Sooner or later the injury luck will turn back around

How many players is the roster up to now? I'm counting 17. Toscano and Mulder will be cut I assume to get back to 15. Does Klay count against the roster limit? If so, then somebody's got to go in order to add another big body.

I may be in the minority but I prefer to go after PJ Tucker and head into the season like this.

Curry / Wanamaker / Mannion
Bazemore/ Poole / Lee
Wiggins/ Oubre/ Paschall
Green / Tucker/ Chriss
Wiseman / Looney / Smiley

Starting Lineup
Curry
Wiggins
Oubre
Green
Wiseman

6th man Tucker

I really liked GR3 during his short stint by the Bay. But Bazemore expanded his game after he left the Dubs and at this point is probably a better defender against guards than GR3 is. With Oubre and Wiggins, having someone who can guard 2's and 3's (like Bazemore) is a bigger priority than someone who can only guard 3's like GR3. My concern is his shot; if Bazemore can shoot 3's more like he did in 2018 (39%) than he did in 2019 (32%) or last season (34%), that would be very helpful. Unfortunately 2018 looks like the outlier.

I believe GR3 has been a good 3-point shooter through his career but on low volume.

Last season he shot really well on more attempts./

He would also be the choice to take a shot off the dribble on with he shot clock running out so he's got some skills.

Since Bazemore signed for the minimum, do you think GR3 is still on their radar using part of the MLE? Then if we get the DPE approved, use that to grab another center?

When is the trade deadline date?

Is it before or after the DPE expires? Might be good to hold onto that in case someone gets bought out down the road. Also would allow us some time to evaluate the roster.

We need to get Batum here. He can be had for the vet minimum.

DPE should only be used if it’s a Homerun

Mulder and JTA will unlikely be part of the plans. Mansion likely a 2 way and to sign a longer contract next year

Curry / Poole / Wanamaker
Wiggins / Bazemore / Lee
Oubre Jr / Batum
Green / Paschall / Smilageic
Wiseman / Lonney / Chriss

Injured - Thompson
2 way - Mannion / JTA

I asked the same thing in another thread, and was told the DPE will expire prior to the trade deadline.

I’m confused. There’s conflicting info that we have the full MLE and that we used part on Wanamaker. Can anyone clarify?

Looks like no Gasol for us. Baynes is still available if we want to add another center. Otherwise, I'm cool with adding a GRIII for another wing off the bench.

Was hoping to add another playoff experienced vet for the youngsters and a passer, but the roster looks almost complete for now.

Bazemore is cool, he gave my son his autograph in the parking lot of Kezar at a pro am game the offseason the Warriors were trying to get him to improve his ball handling...he never really did. Like the add, athletic, long and cheap. Now add GR3 and Baynes/Tucker and we are set!

Marc Gasol narrows his options to Toronto and LA (Lakers). Lakers trying to move McGee, but didn't he just re-sign with them -- Making him ineligible to be traded after like 60 days or something? I swear, NBA gonna be helping their love child. But, it's fine; Bring on Baynes!

Javale signed a 2 year deal last year with a player option this year.

He's making a bit more over the minimum, like $4-5 million.

Some team with cap space would have to take him for the Lakers to be able to lure Gasol.

So Gasol is a ring chaser, which makes sense since he's considering staying in Spain. But he's won once already so why would he choose the Lakers over the Raptors? Lakers did win the ring but Toronto owned the Lakers when they played in the bubble.
