Yeah this is my first exposure to ratings release and some of them are having me scratch my head for sure lol.

Also why pay for top dollar bigs like Embiid when you can simply trade for a Tristan Thompson who’s one star behind (he’s available everyone )

Well to be fair overall ratings isn't as important as the individual ratings. Because FG inside and jumper and other individual ratings hold more weight

I hope that’s not the case...I predicated my roster on being one of the best defensive teams in the league.

I don’t put as much stock into player rankings as some of you do. I feel that as long as the individual rankings of a players strengths and weakness is properly balanced with those playing alongside of him, the better your team is going to be and the more productive the individual player will play.

Overall rating isn't everything.

There will be plenty of 2 star guys that end up being starters because the sim has them with a high FGJ rating lol.

Embiid was definitely a shocker, but lets not pretend like he didn't just destroy everything in the sim last year. I honestly don't think the sim cares all that much about defense, it's obvious that I went all in on that thinking. I think if you have the depth and your defensive setting, you can mask defense a lot.

he was but i just did not want to play him at the 2 guard position, Morant is my franchise cornerstone and i did not want to run a 2 PG starting line up again

Thomas Bryant is Kanter levels. Its like playing 4 on 5 on that end.

Also Zion avg 23 pts per game as a rookie on nearly 60% from the field seems a little bit off to give him the same rating as Thomas Bryant, no?

I do think Zion should’ve been higher like 3.5. But his defense was realllyyy bad. He was looking like Kanter. He needs to get in better shape.
