Before this period, it was obvious we would know our chances for Giannis or a big free agent in 2021 by the moves or lack thereof by Masai & Bobby. Its not 100% because as we know already many players just don't want to play here. Cap space for 2021 has been maintained so its possible there is actually a chance Giannis comes here. I don't buy into the other big names. Next summer is going to be very volatile.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Norm for JV. Works perfectly for both teams.

just wonderful!

At some point we just have to admit things are not going Masai's way....(Not coitizing his greatness...im just saying)

He has a difficult task of filling out the roster while trying to preserve cap space while players want longer term financial security

for sure but lets look at some of the other deals

Noel for 5mil/1 year
Giles for league minimum
Craig on a super cheap deal with the bucks

none of these would have hurt our cap for 2021....lets not even talk about how we could have payed more to ibaka & Harrell/thompson a lot more money on a year deal

again, not doubting the guy that brought us a championship but it's just looking like they didnt get the FA right this year?

It's also possible that they never had any real interest in any of the guys mentioned.

The topping on our sh*t sundae would be if Giannis signs a supermax extension before the off-season is over.

Thats surprising because

1) it logically makes sense to be interested in those players because we barely have any bigs on our team
2) there were rumors about us being interested in hose players (I know our organization doesn't leak but come on)

It seems like it's more likely that they were not interested in joining us...i could be wrong!

Serge basically signed for a one year deal.
Giles signed for a minimum one year deal.
Craig signed for a minimum one year deal.
Gasol will sign a one year deal with the Lakers.

Not many long term deals being signed.

Worth noting that very rarely does our front office leak things prematurely, or any interest. It is also fairly common to see the Raptors by name tacked on to be 'interested in Player X.' Feel like that is a classic agent tactic for leverage in their respective negotiation.

Truth is, none of us really know what the plan is for Masai and co. aside from them having very obvious interest in FVV, Serge and Gasol...all guys very clearly related to the team.
