Better than bad contracts.

Makes me wonder if they haven't been active because they've been close in a couple of trades and don't know where the roster will be at just yet?
I know that after a couple years of turning over half the roster and four coaches, they were looking for more stability this season. But watching Noel sign with the Knicks for $5M, and Giles/Craig sign for the league minimum elsewhere stings.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

It honestly looks to me like the Hawks have all of the pieces in place to make a godfather offer on Towns *ducks*

I'm not saying he did it. I'm asking if anyone in the NBA is gangster enough to pull that off.

$18m a year--even with the trade kicker--is eminently reasonable for Bogdan. Have you seen the other contracts flying around this summer?

At least its not Boogie I suppose.

Also Dallas with the commitment to Barea, are at 16 gtd deals. Guess this means a short camp battle?

It's not that bad Chuck.

WCS runs the floor well and offers some switching potential defensively that's hard to get from a center. He is what he is, but has some tools.

Yes he's a back of the rotation big man. Great. Dallas has plenty mid and back of rotation players on the roster. They needed guys who improved their best 5. Richardson does that. Then they needed some guys who improved their best 8. Still only Richardson. Then they needed some guys who improved their best 10. Still just Richardson.

That's disappointing for a team on the rise with a traditionally aggressive FO/ownership.

This isn't about trashing WCS or Johnson or Burke or the draft picks. I'm actually excited about Terry--eventually. This is about them not adding the higher end talent they still need. I love love love Maxi and Dorian. But they can't be top 5 players on your roster and you expect to contend unless your 2nd guy is both better and more dependable than KP. I mean I think Luka is going to own this league one day, but that day is not today. He needs more help and the sooner he gets it the better habits he can start building.

Right now this most efficient offense ever is poor at end of games and its because Luka doesn't trust anyone else enough. Dallas needs more high end guys.

Well thy didn’t exactly have the cap room to sign anyone this off season. I believe they tried to obtain a 3rd star but you don’t want to make a stupid deal either. Their team should be vastly improved on the defensive end. To do that and still improve your cap situation next off season is pretty great if you ask me.

I have Baynes as a top 25 free agent and he is still out there. Makes me wonder who or what he is waiting on.

I feel like the Knicks could still blow this off-season by MAXing Brandon Ingram and using sign and trade involving assets in the process.

Do you think NOP would not match your offer?

I think NOP would match it which is why I see the sign and trade route if it happened...

But if Ingram'd sign your offer sheet, he cannot be traded via S&T.
