this must have been quite complicated to complete. NOP had to be under the cap to s&t cheatham and gray to us. all three of these deals must be for 3 years minimum, but 2nd and 3rd years likely non-guaranteed. the first season must be guaranteed. so that's 18 guaranteed salaries on our roster by my count, not including the rookies.

darius miller might get a buy-out. still leaves some more maneuvering. another likely insignificant consequence of this deal is that it hard-caps us at the apron.

i've been following basketball for a long time and i can't remember a team having an offseason like the thunder are doing this year.

Now this would be interesting - using all the other exceptions to absorb the salaries from the Pelicans, we might be able to create an Adams sized one

I can’t remember two teams combined having an off-season like this. Pretty remarkable.

i hadn't thought of this. adds value to the oubre trade, without which it isn't possible.

Baby westbrook we barely knew you
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

From a management perspective, I think the outcome of our rebuild in the next 4-5 years is going to have an impact on a lot of people mind about basketball business/rebuild in small market teams (and even in bigger teams)

We will need some luck and good drafting but this offseason is a masterpiece from Presti (he had much leverage last year with PG13/Kawhi and Houston being desperate to flip CP3)

is T.J Leaf worse than Baby Westbrook? No idea why we made this trade and why we won a 2nd

Probably not, they both suck, but we got the 2and for getting indy out of the tax.

Indiana saving money as well.

Wonder if a guy like him is going to have some minutes. he has more upside than Diallo!?

Already 9 trades this offseason. We traded almost every player we acquired.

Imagine your buddy tells you that he will pay you to take the loose pennies in his cup holder so his coffee doesn’t tip over. You agree but to tell him he has to take the mystery piece of candy you found a few days ago between the seats.

Recap on 2nd rounders acquired as far as I can tell:

Oubre to warriors: Denver’s 2021
Rubio to minny: 2024 (I think minny’s)
Lecque to Indy: “future 2nd”
Adams to NO: 2023 (wizards) & 2024 (hornets)
Johnson to mavs: “draft compensation”

Would you take John Wall even if it included Avdija and picks?
