Kings need to resign Bogdan and call the Knicks to offer Buddy and 2nds for cap space.

Hell id even do Buddy for Randle straight up. I can't stomach the thought that we had DDV but these teams were too dumb to just wait 3 days.

Id much rather be "stuck" with Bogdan at 4/72. Even with Haliburton/Fox, Bogdan can have a huge role in the back court so long as buddy is gone.

I would match, Start Bogi and Buddy together. Barnes long term is gonna be a 4, start getting Bagley use psychical nature playing the 5.

See that as a benefit to Hali also can work on his game vs bench units to start with.

Very unlikely Holmes, Beli or Joseph on roster past trade deadline.

Not losing any opportunity cost matching Bogi. No cap space gained and no one to spend it on if did.

Carrying unmovable contracts of Buddy, Bogi (no trade clause / 15% trade kicker), and Barnes will hurt McNair's ability to make future moves.

This is all Vlade's fault.

LMAO . You honestly think either Buddy or Bogi's contracty would be hard to move .

Both cpntracts in todays NBA would be very easy to move unless they are hurt and that is with Bogi's trade kicker .

He isn’t an asset on that contract IMO.

Your 100% wrong . This is why we have 1 GM .

Honestly you really should look at the history of the leauge with contracts that are so called un tradable .

There are very few scenerios a contract is hard to get traded accross the leauge

1 ) If your an over paid scrub . Neither of the 2 are
2) you are a severly injured player
3 ) You are a know offender ( law issues , drugs , abuse etc. )
4) A severly disgruntled player ( Buddy does not fall in line here ) He would have to refuse to play for Sac & beyond for that to come into play so to speak .

If your a really good or great player your contract is easy to trade maybe to not 1 team or some but there is always a way to trade the contract . There is most always a team or two you can find .

You panic to much . Relax let's see how it all plays out !

I don’t think anyone’s panicking. It’s the fact that sure, someone might take Buddy for an another awful contract so I guess that means he’s “moveable”. But pretty much every source close to the Kings has said there is no market for Buddy at this moment. So the dilemma is do we match Bogi and hope that Buddy performs better than he did last season and isn’t an issue in the locker room in order to grow his value around the league? Or do we let Bogi walk, keep some flexibility, give Buddy that starting guard spot and grow his value that way.

Pretty sure if the Kings could get any semblance of value for Buddy he would have been traded by now.

Which leans into a whole other can of worms, is Vivek even letting McNair shop Buddy :banghead:

Ultimately I do believe that the contract value for Bogi is about 25 - 30% above what he would be getting in a market with more viable FA’s out there. So while it’s not an un-movable deal, it will start out as a neutral essentially.

Add to this that while Bogi is willing and capable of being the sixth man, this will only hurt his value even though it is the route to rehab Buddy’s value.

And that’s really the thing. Buddy’s contract should actually be perfectly in line with his value if he were starting and putting up his year before last numbers. Once he is back there, he will be easily moveable.

Quite clearly, hence how it’s known he doesn’t have market

Sounds like owners want to keep Bogdan against FO will

The Sacramento Kings have declined to match the Atlanta Hawks’ four-year, $72 million offer sheet for restricted free agent guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, sources tell ESPN.

Dammit !

As I expected. Kings don't retain Bogdan.

Good bye Bogdan. I hope you have a good career post-Kings.

Well, I do feel for the Sacramento fans, but I do hope my Hawks treat him right.

Hawks fans are going to love him.

He won't ever be a star but he is a guy that can fit in any lineup and would make himself a seamless transition to any team. He plays at his own pace and is very confident with his abilities. He is a player what can handle the ball, shoot and is clutch for the big moments. Very savvy team defender. Not the quickest or the most athletic but knows how to use his body. Very good IQ.

Bogdan is a very, very solid player. We all loved him here in Sacramento.

I'm sure he will do just fine in Atlanta.

Return to Sacramento Kings
