If Bogdanovic ends up confirmed coming and Mays grabs a TW, there is one roster spot open

Young-Rondo-Goodwin
Bogdanovic-Huerter-Dunn-Mays
Gallinari-Reddish-Snell
Collins-Hunter
Capela-Okongwu-Fernando-Knight

Kris Dunn played more SF than PG in Chicago really, he is a defensive specialist

I think Collins get traded eventually but shouldn't be a hurry really

Knight is on a 2way, most likely Mays as well.
Hawks are interested in bringing back Skal.

I think the top end of whatv the team can achieve will be based on which of the following can become all stars - reddish, JC, Kev, Okongwu.... If we get two all stars from that group we can win the east. One is second round playoffs.

Zero is still good enough for 8th in east with capella, Gallo, BB

I'm ready for league pass.... Been waiting a long time to get out lol

I don't see Gallo or Rondo as being hard to trade players or pieces of the team ends up sucking.

Will we have any cap space next year at all?

Hey, just curious , why would you want to trade Collins? I thought him and Trae could create a nice little duo, but I'm an outsider.

We wouldn't.

It just comes down to value and fit:

  • Is Collins worth $20+ million per season when he can't create offense for himself or others?
  • Can he be the second best player on a contender?
  • Will a team with two bad defenders in Trae and John Collins ever truly come close to a title?
  • Are the Hawks better with Gallinari, De'Andre Hunter or Onyeka Okongwu at PF instead?
  • Could the Hawks move Collins plus a draft pick and get an even better player already in his prime?

These are not easy questions to answer and are what our GM will be balancing when he evaluates J Collins this season.

As someone who lives in Georgia but roots for another team, I must say that I really like your roster heading into the new season

No players have emerged better than Collins. Only possibly 2 and that’s Beal and Simmons. Honestly i might rather have Collins than either of those guys. I hate the fact that Simmons can’t shoot.

It's interesting those are the two players you mentioned, cause I could see a three team trade involving all 3 of those players that benefits everyone --

On the other hand if Simmons could shoot he would be a top 5 player and not on the trade market

I can't see Reddish, Huerter, or Okongwu making the all star team. Maybe Collins and Bogdan (if the Hawks land him) with a slight chance of Capela.

If there was a hole in the roster I would move Collins, but at 23 already a 20 and 10 guy there’s no reason to move him, even if he gets expensive. You have a good young core that should be a contender fit high playoff seeds for the next half decade at least. If you get Bogi there are 0 holes. Depth, scoring and defense at every single position. Rondo, Dunn, Reddish, Hunter, Capela, and Okongwu all defend.

Probably Reddish is best for hope for All star which is in turn best chance for an actual contending team

My assumption had been that almost no one suspected Mayes would be on the 15-man.

My other assumption remains that we still will be adding Skal, and that Goodwin will be on the market on or before the 11/29 deadline.

Agreed in full. (Assuming you mean they'll just waive Goodwin).

What have people seen from Skai that makes them think he’s coming back? I think this last signing closes the door firmly on him as a Hawk.

We can sign 20 to the training camp roster. Mays and Kinght on 2 way deals. I'm hoping Hill is on a non-guaranteed deal.

It was more the fact they added him at the deadline, spoke highly or him, and then had him in the "training camp."
