But this sucks.

If this is true, I’m officially done with Weaver.

Can him, now. Don’t allow him to make one more move.

I don't know if this tweet is true or not but either way we clearly could of kept Wood. All we had to do was pay him more then the Rockets. For whatever reason Weaver or Casey didnt like him. It sucks because he was one of the few players that was fun to watch on our team last season.

The tweet is 100% Christian Wood. It’s his verified account.

So for all of us that thought he left because he didn’t want to be here, he did.

I’m thinking this might be fake. I can’t find this tweet anywhere.

Before the deal was done, I don't recall Wood saying he wanted to stay. Real or fake, it's an easy thing to post when the deal's done.

Go to Wood’s ‘tweets and replies.’ It’s not there.

Search for “@ryan_weaver1” — he’s not on Twitter.

If it was a legit post by him, I can see why he would've decided to take it down. Could create some friction for him in Houston.

yeah, you can see where his comment was before he deleted it because the guy replied 'thanks for responding' basically.
I presume Wood will just make a separate post later

his 3 years' contract window didn't fit with our timeline, so I'm not mad for him leaving. we should have traded him last deadline, if there were good offers for his expiring and fbr.

good luck to him! Houston doesn't look like a great place to go nowadays...

Wood always talked about getting paid. He got $41M over 3 yrs. Congrats to him. Weaver, for better or worse, likes traditional centers.

Traditional C preference or not, you don’t let young guys who averaged 22/9 while starting away.

He could have loaded up on traditional C’s to backup Wood all he wanted.

Yep, at the very least you sign him now and utilize him as a trade asset in a couple months.
