Was a good article ...helps realize that there might be more than meets the eye with bacon. Could be another worth reclamation project like MCW .... who I love.... The can both be good 2 way players for our bench... Increasing depth. We'll see! :D

I'd be okay with Bacon starting over Fournier.

Well: if Orlando starts Fournier at SF and uses Ross off of the bench, this becomes the depth chart:

Fultz/Carter-Williams/Anthony/Bone(2W)
Bacon/Ross/Mané(2W)
Fournier/Okeke/Ennis
Gordon/Aminu/Clark
Vučević/Bamba/Birch

Isaac's injury exception will probably be unsigned leading to opening night.

My thoughts: I probably would rather have Bacon start than Ennis, so this depth chart is not insane.

I'm really hoping Okeke shows so much in camp that Cliff starts him at SF. Having Bacon/Ross/Ennis off the bench at wings would be a luxury

If we have to choose between starting Aminu (pf with gordon at SF), Ennis (Gordon at PF) or Bacon (at SG with Fournier at SF)

Ill take my chances with Bacon as i cant stomach watching the other 2 guys. Atleast bacon showed in the G-League (yes i know its the gleague) that he knows how to put the ball in the basket....which is a crazy idea

Personally, i dont care that hes missed 20m of basketball and is a rookie, id love to Okeke start at SF, just to see what we have and how he plays with our other top guys. Starting Ennis or Aminu literally does nothing for us in the short or long term

Bacon was absolutely horrific last season. It cannot be overstated how bad he was, like one of the worst players in the NBA bad.

That said... he has actually played pretty well in his career when he's been given minutes.

In all of the games he's played over 30 MPG in his career, which is 14 games, he's averaged 16.8 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 2.1 APG and only 0.8 turnovers a game while shooting .467 from the floor, .344 from three and .769 from the line.

Bacon probably just stinks, but maybe there's some development left there as a second draft guy who needs a change of scenery.

Believe me, im not excited about bacon or think hes anything special, but that just shows you how i feel about ennis and aminu

Bacon is atleasy young and has SOME offensive game, which shows how low my standards are right now for our offense

Off to a pretty good start. He could very easily outplay the value of his contract if he keeps that up.

Bacon could be Fournier's replacement if we don't re-sign him. I liked the signing & gamble for vet min. And he's still young enough to grow with the young core.

Everyone upset about not keeping Iwundu, Bacon was taken ~5 spots after him in the same draft. Just imagine we drafted Bacon instead, and got to keep him for the vet min. Offensively, Dwayne has more in his bag and can be a big lift with the 2nd unit.

After one preseason game I like what bacon brings. Always knew he was a heady scorer. Hopefully he can keep this up
