With Jrue and all the new players, this Bucks preseason is going to be interesting to follow.

I think Jrue is a tier above Bled, and I think (regular season) Bled is a pretty good player. Jrue is a better defender (by virtue of his size) and a better creator. He's a bit better from three, and worse at the rim, but I think that trade-off plays in our favor. Of course, playoffs are of disproportionate importance at this point, and their samples couldn't be more different.

We can’t underestimate the difference in basketball IQ between Holiday and Bledsoe.

Not that it justifies the practice, but sometimes those passes were incredible.

I'm not sure what this means but Jrue's injury history is every bit as bad as Bledsoe's. Neither player has seemed affected by it in the last few years though.

Are you just talking prospectively? Like CHL said, Bled's knees were never a major issue here. We should hope that Jrue can maintain the same durability. Unless you're implying that Bled's prior knee issues dictated how he played.

I'm worried that as age continues his knees aren't going to assist at him aging well. I don't think it really impacted his play no - that wasn't my point. My point is I'm happy that isn't an axe hanging over the head of the point guard spot for the short term.

Literally almost identical in terms of games missed per season in their careers. Players in their prime usually recover from Bledsoe's meniscus problems, just like they usually recover from Jrue's multiple stress fractures. Jrue is better than Bledsoe but this is a bizarre way to argue in favor of the trade.

It comes down to whether or not Jrue can get it done in the playoffs, we don't know how much of an upgrade he is yet over Bledsoe. Bledsoe was All-NBA defensive player in the regular season, he's not a sieve but when the playoffs start it all falls apart. It's not just that Bled is ice cold shooting, he starts missing FTs, making dumbass turnovers, and most embarrassingly starts getting torched on defense so hopefully Jrue is a lot mentally stronger. Bledsoe has always been a very quiet emotional guy so maybe he just can't deal with the pressure of what he's expected to contribute in the playoffs.

It's a lot of ****ing picks, I wonder what the other potential big deals could have looked like...

Obviously George Hill and #24 could've netted us Schroder.

How about the series where Bledsoe average 19.3/4/5.3/2 on 60% ts in under 28 mpg, with a better net rating than Giannis or Khris? Or the series where Jrue shot 37% from the field and 25% from behind the arc?

I can pick cherries as well as the next guy!

There will be no reason to follow and definitely not to watch if Giannis leaves. They better have an extremely high level of confidence to even consider making that move.

We'll see.

That Jrue/Craig/DDV/Giannis line up with Khris or Brook (depending on matchups) can really shut down teams if needed.

Any particular reason? It seems odd, because Kawhi's is FAR more productive and more efficient - in addition to be amazing defensively.

I'm not sure... probably the style of play and the fact that they're good at everything

There's really no similarities in their games, and one is phenominal, while the other is good. And put on a shirt, jeez.
