UTA in: Gordon, Ross, #2
UTA out: Gobert

ORL in: MIN 1st, Lottery protected 2021 GSW 1st, Wiggins
ORL out: Gordon, Ross

GSW in: Gobert
GSW out: Wiggins, #2, MIN 1st, 2021 GSW 1st

You guys get your center of the future in Wiseman, PF of the future in Gordon, and Ross can play SG if Mitchell moves to PG. You also don't have to eat the Wiggins albatross and remain competitive to keep Mitchell happy. Conley can maybe be moved to someone for additional pieces.

Mitchell/Conley
Ross/Ingles
Bojan/Royce
Gordon/Niang
Wiseman/Bradley

GSW fans will scream no, but I think to get Gobert they have to have enough value to both get off Wiggins and pay for a franchise big.

If ORL is willing to take on Wiggins, this might work. The problem with Warriors/Gobert trades has been that Wiggins kills the deal for whomever would have to take him.

That said, I think the Jazz are likely to re-sign Gobert to a big deal against the lowered cap structure.

To be fair, with everything that has gone on in this past year, I think Donovan will want out no matter what

He's definitely going to ask for out at some point...but might as well try to be good while he's here. Doesn't benefit us to be a non-playoff team for the remaining years we have with him.

Why wouldn't Gobert be available? That said, no team is going to make an offer that makes sense...so Rudy re-ups or doesn't. It's Mitchell's team at this point. If Rudy takes Jazz offer, things are bright. He doesn't and walks next year? Hello lottery decade. Will be fun to see what happens.

Wouldn't something like John Collins, Capela and 6 for Gobert and 23 make sense for you guys?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I only think that Gobert is available if he insists on the Supermax and the Jazz aren't willing to give it to him but another team is.

Good point. If he insists on the supermax and the Jazz don't give it to him, but another team is willing to pay big bucks for him, then things get interesting, though.

Yeah, I just don't see any tea out there willing to splash a max deal for Gobert...... That's why I think he and the Jazz will agree on an extension...... More than he's paid now, but below the max.....

Not saying the Jazz will move Gobert, but now with Favors and Udoka, the Jazz are in a better position to trade him than they were before the draft and free agency.

Imagine if he brought back a quality wing plus a high pick in the 2021 draft. I think Udoka is going to be viable if he can get his FT% up close to 60%. Just needs to get in NBA shape and polish a few things.

They are going to give Gobert whatever his agent asks for.

Gobert made 3 All-NBA teams, won 2 DPOYs and made an all-star team in the last 3 years.

A certain player who barely played in those 3 years and has been heavily hit by injuries just got 4/120 contract.

There is zero chance Rudy is going to agree to anything less than 4/150... I don't think...

Hayward was paid the wing premium, I think Gobert will likely get the same money, maybe a bit more, 4 yr 140.

I guess we are still in the 'He who shall not be named' phase.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I could see a deal around 4 years/$132M. Kawhi is on a 3-year deal at $103M, so an average of $31M/year.

Giving Gobert a 4-year deal at an average of $33M/year should be fine for both sides. I don't think the Jazz should go higher than that, tbh.

Mitchell's deal is an average of $33M/year.
