Great Job Pelinka, wow

I love every move, besides still being iffy on Trez.

Just not sure who would have made much more sense for the money that was realistic

Weird to have so much turnover on a contender, hope the chemistry doesn't fall apart too much

Now bring back Dudley and try to bring Cook back on the min

KCP, Wes, Lebron, AD, Gasol
Dennis, AC, Kuzma, Kieff, Trez
Cook, THT, Dudley,

Bring in Korver or a more traditional pg? Save 1 spot

Shooting is a bit concerning to me though still

Lakers wanted to sign another center with McGee and Harrell on a roster, so I guess they'll try to acquire Gibson/Vonleh/Kaminsky/maybe Whiteside/maybe Len/maybe Cousins after McGee's departure, and then probably another guard/shooter for 14th roster spot if McKinnie's contract is guaranteed, and I think it is.

So it's more like:

Schroder, Caruso
KCP, Matthews, X?
LeBron, Kuzma, THT, McKinnie
Davis, Morris
Gasol, Harrell, X?

And then you're right that Lakers will probably keep their last roster spot and vet minimum contract below hard cap for potential mid-season acquisition.

Marc's already won a title in Toronto anyway, i think winning another one as a Laker and share that connection with his big brother sounds compelling.

I don’t know.

LeBron randomly took a shot at Gasol’s defensive player of the year award during the playoffs.

A little late but I'd be surprised if Gasol even remembered that, let alone cared about it

If Cousins signed on for a minimum and is still at least some semblance of what he used to be, just imagine a big rotation of Anthony Davis, Montrezl Harrell, Marc Gasol, and Boogie Cousins . . . to pair with LeBron James. :o

Also I have no idea how Marcus is worth $64M and Kieff is a minimum.

Very late indeed.

I flat out forgot about that post.

I love that the Clippers are basically paying Markieff because he shares a bank account with Marcus

Still would prefer Ibaka/wing over Harrell, but whatever. Can't complain

Can they just make Dudley an assistant coach rather than having him take a roster spot?

Some of the stuff that people were saying is hilarious. I don't blame anyone for not predicting the Dwight resurgence, or even for not predicting a championship, but the ideas that they lost the trade to the Pelicans or could have missed the playoffs are insane. Even the point that Leonard is easier to plug in than Davis - a DPOTY candidate, a GOAT lob finisher, and a competent outside shooter - has aged really badly.

Also, the Kieff signing is now official, so if Harrell doesn't work out, they can probably just move him at the deadline and then go back to Kieff, who they know fits nicely.

Yup, that's why I like him back: right now Lakers can recreate rotation against Rockets next season with LeBron-KCP-Green-Morris-AD starting lineup, and Schroder-Caruso-Kuzma from the bench, with Marc and Harrell to use under different circumstances, with THT as a potential suprise, and two additional roster spots for vets. You have to love it.

The Lakers really have had just a monstrous off season.

I'm curious, who do you guys think would've been a better MLE option than Harrell?

I was bummed at first because of potentially missing out on Ibaka but thinking about it now Gasol is cheaper while arguably still being the better player and fulfilling the same role. So Harrell might've actually been the best available pickup using it

Might have been able to use part of it to bring back Dwight and the rest to get a decent 3&D wing - Justin Holiday or JaMychal Green would have fit the bill. But then Gasol doesn't come if Dwight is back. All things considered, I can't complain.

13 Heat. (As always with 13 Heat talk, we are assuming no injury Wade here).

I wanted to say 13 Heat, but realistically that team had a gaping hole at the 5 for like the first half of the season. If you're talking 27 win streak then yes I think we can go with that version. But I'm not completely sold either. Miami LeBron was a solid 7 or 8% better than current Bron imo. And Peak AD is straight up better than 2013 Wade.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

LeBron, AD, Giannis

I honestly don't know how they would play together but Giannis/AD at the PF/C position would be disgustingly good defensively

Thought Morris might get a little more money. The impact vs price tag for the two Morris brothers is hilarious.

Ideally Ibaka, but I don't think the Lakers had a chance at him.

It was either Toronto or Clippers with his pal Kawhi.

I agree with you, Trezz was the best value contract available
