Re: 2020-21 Around The NBA Thread
Beyond wanting Giannis to stay in Milwaukee so small market teams can have some success, I also don't want those picks they owe to NOP to turn out to be gold. Our primary competition in trading for stars 3-4 years from now will be the Pels, so hopefully the Rockets/Clips are worse off than the Bucks/Lakers by then.

I wouldn't worry too much until Zion is no longer fat.

This is a very Charlotte move. So our main tanking competition right now looks to be Knicks, Cavs, maybe Pistons/Kings?

Cavs and pistons concern me most.

Bit of an overpay but Suns should be in good position to make the playoffs assuming CP stays healthy

Am I the only one not in love with what Atlanta is doing? I like adding a vet or two to a young team but their roster just seems too crowded. Also, I can see rondo becoming Mavs rondo rather than big brother mentoring rondo.

Has there been any word on what the G League is doing this year? 2 of the top 5 prospects in next year's draft are playing in it, but seems like there hasn't been any news on when their season will start up

The last I heard they were considering a possible partial bubble. That’s been a few weeks ago.

And people are mad that we traded him? Guys that think they're better than they are and are in contract Years are toxic for bad teams v
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Boogie paired up with Russ and Harden who both don't want to be there is going to be fascinating

If Houston hadnt traded Covington, I would be pretty impressed with their moves. I dont know that cousins has anything left but wood was a good addition. Boogie isn’t bad as a low risk flyer guy,

Houston making good moves and a Harden trade seems less likely to happen

I still think they move him and try to rebuild on the fly.

hope so. a 10-15 pick from Houston would be nice (even more if we are trying to move up in the draft)
Btw, is Cunningham so much better than the other players in next draft? Well I mean, if we get a 3rd or 4th pick, do we have any chance of moving up or no team would accept not taking Cade with the first pick?

It can all change depending on how the college season goes. I believe RJ Barrett was the big name a couple of years ago before Zion took over.

From what I've seen Cunningham is expected to be a consensus #1, but there's a second tier of 2 or 3 guys who wouldn't shock anyone if they became better. One is a center with defensive upside and the other two are scoring guards.

Some people think Jalen Green and BJ Boston could be better than Cade.
I still think Cade is going to be the one everyone wants though.
