All the help.

That would be awesome IMO.

All of the complaining from other fanbases would be hilarious.

Birth of the Cool wrote:If this were true this would be so pathetic. You ever play pickup ball and you run into guys who want to make teams so all the best guys are on the same team? or see this happen when playing team games online? It's freaking sad man. I always make sure to change to the underdog team because there is absolutely no enjoyment for me in crushing far inferior competition.

I know this has been happening much more methodically since the Heatles day but it's still pretty sad. Warriors (without Durant) I can see as that was organizational growth - otherwise to me this stacking of teams so you don't have to play tough competition is lame and should be a mark on every player / team that wins this way.

Johnson and Bird were good friends but they enjoyed the challenge of competing against each other and it was a key to making the NBA popularity grow until MJ took it to another level. I can't imagine these guys mentality back then even thinking for a second about playing together, their thoughts were only how I'm gonna beat him next time we play.

IMO it isn't pathetic at all.

I personally love watching greatness.

Really doubt it, Giannis is one of few that seem to care about his legacy and is still to young to ring chase.

The league is hostage by influential player agents like Rich Paul and Lebron

They absolutely collude behind the scenes using personal relationships and gatherings to discuss plans.

The NBA if they want integrity would enforce a hard cap... It would limit players playing the contract structure and team collusion games...

But the NBA don't want that... They want revenue.

They are probably so disappointed at how bad New York is at playing the dirty games lol

Rich Paul and LeBron aren't holding the league hostage lol.

By your logic, MJ and Falk held the NBA hostage during MJ's prime.

Bingo.

You would think that more people would understand that by now. Especially after what happened to the Warriors in 2019. I bet no one had Toronto winning the championship that year (except for very hardcore Raptors fans).

I don't think this is happening, but if it does...

The owners need to go to the mattresses. A hard salary cap should be the minimum with a 3 year franchise tag as a starting point.

It was always a possibility given the timing of LeBron's contract and the contracts they have been offering other players.

Obviously from the Lakers' perspective you've got to give it a shot - the goal of running a franchise is to win championships after all - but from a league's perspective I hope it doesn't happen. The league is simply more interesting when there isn't a team that is overwhelmingly stacked.

You really can’t be serious. The Lakers would still be in the lottery without Lebron. Outside of Kuzma their team has no homegrown talent, 95% of the moves the team has made would not have happened without Lebron. Unlike previous years it took zero talent to put together their title team, it’s the equivalent of buying a title.

Those titles though lose a lot of their luster when their isn’t a lot of work put into one. Giannis jumping ship to L.A. practically says I’m not someone who can bring a franchise a title and need to take the easy way.

Obviously the Lakers got better when they signed LeBron lol. When you sign a player of his caliber, that is what happens.

It always takes a combination of skill and luck to put together a title team.

Lol, super teams are terrible for ratings. Didn’t bother watching a single game of the finals this year and happy to switch it off this year too. Super teams are boring and I like fair play.

Didn't Giannis say he wasn't interested in Hollywood and all that stuff that comes with LA? I'd think he'd want to play for some other team if he wanted out of Milwaukee. We shall see.

What's AD gonna do, make Giannis play the 5?

We all know he's not going to

Can we just set a hard cap and be done with this Superteam bull? Not really trynna watch the NBA if the top players are just gonna cuck their way to a championship. Thanks Lebron.
