I'll say it again - if we lose our entire franchise because some doofus couldn't keep his mouth shut, I'm done with the NBA.

if giannis leaves id be ok but honestly id probably lose interest in the league in general. its always been big market dominated but now it almost feels staged. what happened to toronto last year nauseated me. how do you win a championship or even play on a top3-4 team and not want to go back. i dont get that. i'll follow local high school ball or something

I'll wait until he's actually hitting them in big games before I think anything's changed.

They are not many go to moves when you have 3 great defenders in front of you other than shoot it yourself or passing it up.
Remember when he was breaking out as a Point Forward in the J.Kidd years averaging like a triple double for months?
He is amazing when he is being allowed to drive either way. Great passes (without swag/flair ofc) and smart plays.
He just stuck in front of an elite 3 man wall for two seasons and it got to his head.
This kind of defense is unprecedented and it's the result of a b2b MVP dominant player and the lack of shooting on both his part and most of his teammates.
Meh. Great players have been double and triple teamed their entire lives. Most of them developed ways to counter it. Not sure Giannis has to this point. He's still young so theres time, but just saying im tired of hearing about his 3 point shot when he doesnt have go to counters to elite defense.

If Giannis leaves, it will be because the Bucks repeatedly made like decisions consistently while Giannis continued to ascend. The Bucks have made some quality moves but they've made plenty of questionable ones in his tenure.
With so much talk surrounding players legacies being tied completely to winning championships, it's hard to fault guys for leaving situations that they don't believe they can win.
I'll be very upset if he leaves but my anger won't be directed at Giannis.

I wouldn’t be angry at him at all if he left and the Bucks have definitely screwed up a lot but Giannis isn’t blameless here. He’s also failed us two years in a row now as a superstar. He shrunk against Toronto and was flat out bad against Miami. There are multiple superstars that could’ve won with the 18-19 Bucks IMO.fansinceforever wrote:If Giannis leaves, it will be because the Bucks repeatedly made like decisions consistently while Giannis continued to ascend. Jump shot still looks crap, torso and head still tilting backwards, range of motion still unnecessarily long.
You dont need to do a half squat to throw a peanut to the basket Giannis.

You know They had something to say during all of the Bogdan bullsh. Double tampering.
As for Jrue & Gianni's joining Kawhi, it'd make for a homecoming with Jrue. Makes way more sense than Kawhi coming to Milwaukee, unless he misses Bud or something. Also Uncle what's his face probably wouldn't want him leaving to come here, ... Dennis.

I think the Toronto option was gone as soon as Giannis' girl became pregnant.
Just my opinion but the most likely destination if he leaves is still the Warriors. I don't see him going to the Celtics or Heat, which are two of the Bucks biggest rivals. LA already has 2 superstars and Giannis said he doesn't like superteams and doesn't want to go to LA. Also don't think he likes Lebron (although he tries to be nice in the media).
Dallas is a possibility but I don't think he would want to be 2nd fiddle to someone else, especially not someone 4 years younger than him.
Seems like he really doesn't want to leave but isn't sure about if he will win a championship if he stays. It's **** tragic that we haven't been able to get him a legit 2nd star and better shooters until maybe now, we'll see how the new roster does.

If he doesn’t like super teams then why is GS the top option? Dallas would be a super team if he signs there. If he doesn’t like super teams then Milwaukee is the option. No star will sign here thus never creating a super team.

Would the Warriors really be a superteam if they got Giannis? Their core are all in their 30's and are not the same players they used to be. Green is nowhere near an all star, Curry isn't a top 3 player any more, and Klay just tore his Achilles after being out for the season with a torn ACL.
Dallas has Doncic who will be top 5 by then, but Porzingis is a borderline all star with injury issues, nowhere near a superstar. The only teams that would be superteams if he joins them are the Lakers, Clippers, and Nets.

The speculation we’re having to do is so frustrating. My respect for Dame Lillard grows daily.

Leonard, George, Butler, Cousins, Irving are top 10-15 players that have gotten traded recently. George extended with OKC and wanted out only after they got bounced in the 1st round multiple times. Cousins would have extended if he didn't suffer his injury. There were opportunities to get a 2nd star. We just didn't pull it off, partly because we have been terrible at building a stock of assets with trade value, partly because Horst has no balls, and partly because our owner hasn't been willing to spend enough $ until now.

Everyone you mentioned has a first option or second once giannis is there that’s anything better than what the bucks have.

LeBron, 18-19 Kawhi and healthy KD. That's about it. Giannis is line item 10 or lower when it comes to dealing out blame for this team's shortcomings.
Also, we still may have moved on if FVV didn't go nuclear.

We've done really, really well largely due to the hard work and development of two players that a prior FO and owner brought here.

did we have some sort of agreement with Giannis that he's gonna be a superstar?

Any chance the Bucks' weird, cryptic, probably new uniform videos will coincide with Giannis returning and signing his supermax while debuting the new threads?
