It's funny that we now have Galen Smith as our starting center - replacing Jalen Smith. He had lousy stats at Alabama for 3 seasons, but Turgeon's had a lot of praise for him. Wiggins had all 12 of his points in a 4 minute span in the 2nd half - hopefully he can play with some consistency. Turge has also been heeping praise on sophomore swingman Hakim Hart - who's looking like good depth. The other player he's been praising a lot is Aquan Smart - says he's a very confident freshman.

We'll actually have a lot more depth than I thought - especially when Graham comes aboard. MD's a lot better on defense than on offense, and Graham could give us an offensive boost off the bench.

Granted, MD hasn't played any good opponents, but Hart's play has been amazing. He also got 4 steals. But back to the bench he goes assuming Wiggins is healthy. Wiggins is one of those players who always seems like he's ready to break out but just never does - very talented. Maybe Hart pushing him is what he needs?

No games scheduled in Jan.

This is pretty common in college football.

Some kids graduate and enroll early to get a jump on academics and for the ability to be with the team starting with Spring Practice.

For comparison, a kid graduating in June can't join the team until August.

And yeah, Maryland's very strong at wideout.
