Not only does Mavs have a better overall roster, but Luka and KP will be 21 and 27 respectively.

If joining NBA champion and all-world defender AD in his prime makes no sense to you then you should tune in to other games once in a while. Both teams would be good options.

3 top 5 talents on one team surrounded by ring chasers...what a fun league that would be.

I sure hope you supported KD's decision.

No problem for KD decision, a lot of hate league wide when small teams cant sign guys like him, someone needs to lose and NBA has nice competition at the top, dont understand why the establish franchises at the middle of nowhere and complain about no one wanting to sign there. There is a lot of nice locations at the US, move your franchise, attract top level talent. Normal people accept less money or responsability to be in better places for them and their families. Pretty simple.

Hopefully Giannis goes there so he can become a better player by winning rings.

Oh this isn't tampering.

But when all parties agree on Bogdan a little early, the competitive balance of the league is in jeopardy!

because Bucks did tamper, Bucks/Kings messed it up. Bogdan DOESN'T even want to be in Milwaukee.

why blame it on others when Bucks FO is really kinda dumb.

Giannis seems more like the type that would not want to join AD and Labron. He seems more like the type that prefer to join a rival team and beat AD and Labron.

By the time Giannis would sign on the Lakers you are talking what, 37-38 year old Lebron?

This is Klutch wanting to setup AD to keep winning rings after Lebron fades out of the picture and pairing him with Giannis is an easy way to do that.

This would explain AD not signing an extension thus far. Seems logical. Though based on this thread we can clearly see RealGM disapproves.

One of these days the mid and small market owners will get tired of this and stand together (there are more of them in a vote) and vote in a true hard cap to level the playing field and this garbage if stacking teams will stop.

Then we can all watch truly competitive basketball once again.

Or they just make a rule where players can be charged with tampering.

Honestly if this happens, I'm curious what the point of even having an NBA is. Should just contract every team except the Lakers and award them wins + title via forfeit.

"Buhhh you're a hater"...but really, is an uncompetitive completely predictable league exciting?

But I suppose it can be made unpredictable via injuries...so is that what other teams are forced to root for then?

If giannis goes to the Lakers, the owners will lock out as soon as they get the chance until they come up with a system to protect small markets.

dude

im in my mid 40s.
ive NEVER seen " competitive" basketball in the nba.

first it was the magic vs bird annual showdown.
then the gatorade boy winning rings agasint nobody.
then shaq and kobe tearing it appart.
some popovic popcorn with some kobe and pau fun and games here and there.
the miami cheat decision.
the golden state tamprerers beating on the cavs on a rinse repeat finals.
and now is back for the golden boys.

NEVER.

Lebron will be getting all credit for that ring even if he’s a 38 year old 3rd option

I am a Lebron stan, but I don't want this. Rings would be literally worthless to the individual legacy of Lebron if this happened. It is the same with the warrior rings with KD. The rings were totally worthless to the individual legacies of Curry and KD. They boosted the franchise/team legacies of GS though. With that said obviously LA has to go for this because every franchise should strive to improve their team as much as possible. Also by the time Giannis comes to LA Lebron might have 5 rings and they might be back to back champions. Giannis joining a back to back championship team would be more a knock on him than on AD and Lebron (like KD with GS)
