Lou's days in clippers seriously ending. Send me some Tyus Jones-Monte Morris or even Lonzo.

This is what I'm expecting, even though I have no idea what any particular deals might be...

was reading lucas hann's article today and he brought up a few guys i hadn't really considered.

namely solomon hill and batum. i know hill was a guy i've wanted on the team a while back, and batum was always gallo-like in how we could only dream of acquiring him. but nowadays i wonder what they can really contribute to a contender.

but if they can provide switchable defense off the bench they could be crucial, considering jmg's gone.

Nicolas Batum’s agent: “Six teams have contacted us and showed interest in Nico: Nets, Warriors, Jazz, Clippers, Bucks and Raptors. Nico is in the best shape of his life. He’s been working hard with coaches for two months. He lost ten kilos (roughly 22 pounds).”

I’m all for Batum as a backup 3/4. If he doesn’t work out that’s the position we’re most capable of papering-over come playoff time by just extending the minutes of PG, Kawhi, Morris and Ibaka

This might take forever then because the Hornets are still trying to find a deal before he is officially cut

It might be worth exploring

Would love Whiteside. Isn't he making a lot of cash though?

We have 5 guys who can play C, we dont need Whiteside and you dont want him in your locker room.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

I’ve read from hornets fans on the gb that batum is totally washed up- sounds like a Danny granger repeat if the clippers signed him

Understand completely. I was hearing on NBA radio that the Clippers are in the middle of the pack and that we are a small team. I am hearing that the Lakers are the winner.

I wonder if we should have taken a chance with DeMarcus cousins.

To be honest with you, why not... the thing is that we got a few choices below

1. Either resigned reggie Jackson
2. Sign Jeremy Lin
3. Trade for a point guard
4. Sign someone overseas
5. Try to pluck from our G league roster or etc
6. See who is left which could be him.

The thing is why not Isaiah Thomas who is a free agent?

Yes. He isn't guaranteed until game one of the season, however. That's why I made the mistake of saying we had 14 guys under contract, counted him and Patton, both of whom are not guaranteed until a certain date.

Lin - Lou Will - Kennard spells 40-point opposition 2nd quarters to me.

Hey James--a belated welcome to our board. :) This is a solid post. You've been posting ace stuff.

I'm pretty quiet in personnel moves discussions because I'm mostly just a Clippers fan and a basketball fan, and I focus on trying to figure out what's going on inside the organization. The Clippers' Columbo.

Reggie, Jeremy and Isaiah have each made their dent in the NBA. Each has deep flaws, mostly defense and/or turnovers and probably both. Not sure its the right time to sign any of them.

I did catch Isaiah's meteoric rise and then tragic crash and burn--just when he was about to cash in on the big NBA bucks--when his hip gave out. Dude is HUNGRY. Clippers need some HUNGRY. What was wrong last year was they weren't HUNGRY. They thought they were gonna phone it in all the way to the title. Trezz called them out on it in JANUARY.

Thank God we got Ibaka but is he HUNGRY? Senior just got WAY overpaid through age 35. Pat Bev is already overpaid. Kawhi and PG can opt out and still get their money whether its here or elsewhere.

Question to the board--WHO'S HUNGRY?

We need some hungry. Why do you think the Lakers signed Trezz...? Forget the stats, Trezz is still HUNGRY. Watch out.

yeah i mean we already got rid of one guy who couldn't defend a trashcan to save his life and replaced him with someone good. let's continue adding to that.

lin is washed and while our options are limited, we can do better.

Just saw we gave Jordan Ford an exhibit ten contract/camp invite.

Part of me wouldn't be shocked if he fought his way onto the roster for one of the three open slots (assuming Oturu is signed and his rights aren't held).

Napier is small at 6’1

Isaiah Thomas is tiny at 5’9 and with hip issues, I don’t see anyone signing him.
