Did we leave enough MLE to give Nwora a 3 year deal?

Bud making sure Pat gets minutes in the playoffs isn't going to be frustrating at all.

What the ****? This is insane. How did he end up with more years and more money per year?
At the beginning of FA wasn't it rumored that Pat was going to get 5-6 million from someone. I wouldn't have given him that, but I guess we needed an expensive lifting buddy for Giannis.

If Giannis sign I don't give 2 ****. If he doesn't, our FO is terrible and will always be.

This is straight up on display the actual money in the millions the GM not understanding the salary cap is costing the team. That's incredible.

You missed the update to his deal from a few days ago?

If the Kings match Bogdan's offer sheet before midnight, I'm gonna stubbornly hold out hope that this is still a sneaky way to include Pat in a sign & trade or pre-deadline deal. But it's looking more and more like they simply botched the original signing here.

God, I hate that Pat deal. I was already annoyed at 4/8.

If they still want to keep Horst around, then they really need to invest in some CBA/contract experts and hire them to help Horst. If they already have those guys, they need to be fired and replaced.

I assumed there would be something to it that was more team friendly. At the very least no player option on the 3rd year. *Everything* went in the opposite direction from the previously reported agreement.

6-4 guy who can't dribble and is at best an average three point shooter. Craziness.

How hard would it be for the Bucks F.O. to bring in someone to just be in charge of "salary cap compliance". I don't care if it costs the business side $150K/year, not having one just cost the franchise a few million - on top of whatever we lost on the basketball side of things

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - Pat is Back!
I know it was a down year for free agency, but did we really come into this period thinking Pat was worth even half of what he got? I’m really curious to know what value he has in our front office and coaching staff because they’re paying a very limited 10th man like a highly competent 6th man and that’s a huge issue for any small market team looking to compete. When all hopes of trading Pat dissolved, this immediately became one of the worst Bucks contracts in a long, long time.

I just don't understand how a PROFESSIONAL SPORTS ORGANIZATION doesn't have an expert on CBA/CAP SPACE. Like shouldn't we have a team dedicated to this type of ****. I just find it hard to believe we have that many inept people in our FO. Obviously, could be part of a larger plan, but FFS history doesn't side with this FO and it's cap decisions.

Pat is just going to be needed trade filler at some point.

Agree but that 3rd year P.O. is going to make teams not want him

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - Pat is Back!
I'm imagining Horst's Contracts and Cap Sheet is just an excel file with some intern or low level employee plugging in information and seeing what spits out and lets Horst know how much he has left to spend. Probably some shared document where people can go in and plug and play. Would not surprise me one bit.

That's the only reasoning behind this that I can see.
