A perfect choice, the west keeps getting more bigger. They probably still need another big hit the options are dwindling

This year the Warriors selected the center for the next 5-10 years for this franchise.

Next year they select the guard for the future.

We got the guard this year too, we need the wing.

if I'm Kerr I'm telling Wiseman to watch Bogut and Marc Gasol tape all day every day until the season starts

Yes, the other skills he has been working on is great and now he needs to double time it on how to set a proper pick. I cringe every time I see some young player sets a half hearted pick in their eagerness to roll to the basket.

Wiseman has been playing organized ball for a decade so comparisons to super raw bigs of the past don't really fit. He was a guard for a while so his skill set includes more ball handling and shooting which is where the Bosh/Webber comps come from, they both were guards first too. My issue with those two players is that they fairly quickly started settling for the outside shot rather than doing the work on the inside.

Wiseman is certain to have the same issues every NBA big has in that he's going to pick up a LOT of fouls, and that is a factor in him not starting too. Kerr isn't going to want to be giving away early fouls that puts his team in a hole early every game.

Since he's now a Warrior what we know is:

1. He's LONG. The longest player the Warriors have had in 30 years.
2. He's athletic. He's not super quick laterally but for as big as he is he's quick.
3. He can shoot. Not great but he has a very good base to start from.
4. He has good timing on blocks. He hunts blocks which is bad when it exposes the backside to cuts.
5. He has good hands.

What he needs to focus on from the limited stuff I've seen and read:
1. Offensive scheme understanding
2. Defensive scheme understanding
3. Defensive fundamentals (footwork, hands, elbows)
4. Screen setting
5. Passing out of the post
6. Passing out of the break
7. Shooting

He's big and athletic so he'll help, but big and athletic is what Chriss had too and he flamed out with the team that drafted him because they mis-used him and because they were not patient enough with his development.

Off-season practice and scrimmages obviously don't mean much, but watch the first 100 seconds of this video and tell me there isn't untapped offensive potential in addition to what he can bring to the table in terms of defense, length and athleticism. That looks so fluid for a 7'1'' guy with some bulk at only 19.

I actually want Dubbs give up #30 pick to OKC.

That only means Wiggins and Wiseman going crazy on the court. And Light-Year term can still be used!

So I don't really want that 2021 pick!

Crazy...now that I'm off the Deni dream...lol....The fact that Wiseman can even shoot the three fluidly in practice says a lot. Nice release....handles...all that.

I think we (me) might be shocked if he comes out and actually DOESN'T struggle. I hope that's the case :)

If I'm Kerr I was on the phone to get Bogut in town as soon as the pick was put in.

I don't see any way he's a total stiff, but that jumper is the key to everything. If he develops a reliable jumper he'll be devastating. That said, I don't really want him spending a lot of time 15 feet from the basket, that actually minimizes his strengths (including rebounding) and hurts spacing because it keeps other defenders closer to Steph. Maybe it opens up lanes for Oubre and Wiggins to cut but I generally don't like anything that means fewer or worse shots for Steph.

Can't wait to watch this cat in a Warriors uni this year. Still expecting rebounding and size to be his 2 most useful aspects this year.
