It's a **** rookie draft.

Every year there's like 2-3 non rookies selected.

Free agency won't really do **** to make up somebody's mind about a player or not. Every lottery guy probably has a preference in mind already.

We can't start in December, come on now. Like tugs said, we have a 48 hr window for each pick and many will exceed this timeframe as usual.
And I want my damn roster up already to make my adds/drops. We can't have that if the teams are not complete after the draft is done.

We never have finished a full draft before a month's time. Ever.
We had time in the past to drag this **** all summer, we don't now.
