Are we better than the Hawks?

Post#1 » by NotMyKawhi » Wed Nov 25, 2020 3:10 am

Trae/Rondo
Bogdan/Hueter
Hunter/Reddish
Collins/Gallo
Capela/ Okongwu

They're two deep at every position! Vets and youth. Playoff experience now. Also have the Thunder 2022 1st round pick. If a star gets put on the block, no playoff team has a better package than the hawks #facts.

I'd worry about them bc that's the team that could push us to #7! Then we have to go in the play in tourny. Do you think we are better than the hawks?

You forgot Dunn. It's a team full of one way players. Of course we are better than them.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

It will all depend on how Baynes does and if Boucher can improve. We just don’t know yet, but I think we should be better than them.

Raps aren't going to be pushed to #7. We're still better than the Pacers (unless VO comes back full force), maybe better than the Celtics without Hayward. We've been easily better than Sixers since Jimmy (and JJ) left. Let's see how well a 32-year-old KD coming back from a severe injury plays before judging the Nets.

The raps were 2nd in the league last year. With a crapton of injuries.

Replacing their 6th and 7th best players with decent replacements won't drop them down much.

C'mon now. No one on that roster can play both ends. Trae, Gallo and Collins are all absolutely horrid defenders. They're still gonna get shredded.

Yes.

Raps will be competing for home court advantage in the 1st round. Hawks will be competing to make the playoffs.

They might win games in the regular season, but that team looks like it will also give up 140 points a game.

Raptors pride themselves on defence and ball movement, which is far more effective in the playoffs.

Yes we are better. I think we are still in the mix for homecourt advantage. But I'm having a hard time predicting the standings this year (not that I'm ever right anyway). I can see us ending up anywhere from 2-6. I see the Hawks making the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed. They will be surprising, IMO.

Depends.

If Siakam gets in that Hyperbolic time chamber, and Freddy just incrementally gets better, with some guys stepping up?

Yeah we're like a 3rd-4th seed.

But I rate;

Bucks
Brooklyn
Sixers
Miami
Boston

better then us. We'll get smashed by the Bucks/Brooklyn for sure, since we suck at defending stars. Boston is like 50/50 always, same goes with Miami. Sixers are a cake walk, but something tells me they'll be MUCH better.

Brace yourself folks, we might be in for a rude awakening.

They have a nice young core, but still too one dimensional and weak defensively.

I do love what Atlanta is doing. They will be fun to watch for sure. Dont think they're better than us unless father time catches up with Lowry.

Solid team, they've put together. They very well could beat us in seeding wise but don't think they would beat us in playoffs.

Also, im gonna guess that Gallo starts. His shooting will make the team so much more dangerous. 3 snipers will tear it up.
