I don't know any more than anyone else, but I've been hearing on podcasts that there's worry about his body holding up, plus the playoff stuff. I think he's really really good, personally, but if you can't make a huge difference in the playoffs, what's the point, I guess.
Yeah, he's just a Tobias then. Can provide big numbers when it doesn't matter. When it does in the playoffs, nada.
He's
way better than Tobias.
Agreed, if he stays healthy. One of my biggest fears with Kemba is the same one I have with any smaller guard whose game is quickness dependent. Once they start losing a step they fall off that cliff precipitously. See Iverson, Allen and many others. A guy like Harden already plays an old man's man, which I mean in the best of ways, and he can keep some semblance of his godhood going for quite some time barring a major injury. Kemba is built a little more strongly than AI, but for small guards to last into their deep thirties, I prefer guys that are solidly built like Chris Paul or Dame. Kemba is between those physical archetypes and even CP3 has seen his play suffer in years with injuries slowing him down, and his game has a little old man style in it too, which helps.
So Kemba >> Tobias when healthy, but a step away from that not being true. I love Kemba and can't even root against him as a Celtic, but it is always a worry with smaller, quicker scoring guards.
