but really how else were they supposed to handle this if another team complains? Say '**** off nerd, everyone breaks our rules'. From what has been reported all they actually did was say they were opening and investigation and sent a memo. Big deal, and if the Bucks actually didn't negotiate a contract then it's a complete nothing.
The league should really just do away with all the grey area and either just openly let anyone talk once the year is done or punish the **** out of the agents along with the teams if they keep the rules. But as long as they basically have this current 'don't ask don't tell' policy you have to at least play by that rule and the Woj tweet crossed that imaginary line.

Yes - exactly how they handle it when Lebron tampers.
There are many idiots and a--holes in this.
- Whoever leaked it to Woj
- Lasry for not squashing the announcement and then talking about it
- Jealous NBA executives who snitched (Schlenk, probably Lebron) to poach him, and to weaken Giannis' chances of extending
- Silver for making a big deal out of this while looking the other way for literally every other situation
- Bucks or Bogdan or both for not just going through with it, and then going to the media about Lebron's tampering if the NBA makes a big deal out of it.
Bottom line, I hate the NBA even more after this. They don't even attempt to level the playing field.
