Not safe to assume that Giannis is extending, or even Holiday. If they bomb in the 2021 playoffs, it could be a great 2022 pick.

Easily the best trio in the East, and I don’t think 07 Timmy/Tony/Manu level is unreachable. Manu obviously better than Khris, but Giannis better than 07 Timmy and I’d take Jrue over Parker.

That is what it comes down to. If Giannis signs the supermax and Jrue extends then most of those picks and swaps are meaningless outside of 2027 because that is beyond the extensions. And you gamble on that one for a five year window of contention.

Now if Giannis and Jrue don’t extend, this is a franchiser killer. But at that point, any sane fans should bolt to their backup team. Everyone should have one picked out just in case.

Jrue is an All-Star in the East. That would make 3 for your Milwaukee Bucks. If this trade is packaged with an extension and a Giannis supermax, you pay the price they paid 10 times out of 10.

Yep. Jrue is a multi All Star by now if he’s on a somewhat competent team in the East. His numbers speak for themselves. His talent level compared to Bledsoe is going to become very apparent very quickly and I’m very excited to watch him operate with Giannis and Khris

It's simple guys. If Jrue and Giannis stay we have a 4 year window to get a championship. If you are contending every year you raise your chances for a chip. However Budenholzer should sacrifice the number one seed and start getting the team ready for set plays in the playoffs. Moreover Horst MUST make a better job with the rest of the roster. You can't have 11mil on DJ Wilson and Pat and expect to achieve something.

The other guy in this trade excites me too, Merrill. His highlight reel makes him look like a poor mans Luka. I hope he turns out to be a steal.

Those Pelicans teams were really not good at all outside of Jrue and AD. Even the one year they were very good (17-18) it was really just Mirotic and Rondo in the playoffs, after that you had the likes of ETwuan Moore, Solomon Hill, Ian Clark, etc. And they still managed to destroy Portland and take a game off the Warriors.

NOLA’s W/L isn’t an indicator of Jrue’s impact the same way it wasn’t with AD.

Those New Orleans teams were constantly riddled by injuries and spent two years of AD's career starting E'Tuan Moore, who is 6'3 at the small forward. Incredible stuff. Holiday is gonna look great here.
