Allegedly. Reports also said nothing was boastful about it at all from a number of owners on the call.

Lakers tampered their way to a championship and the league didn't do anything about it.
still learning the game

If you're fine with the double standard this league has set, then by all means, keep enjoying.

There’s zero way to stop it. I mean right as FA opened guys were agreeing a min after. I’m not in the room for negotiations but I’m pretty sure it takes longer to pitch the deal. What do we expect the league to do? Bug everything possible?

I just want them to be consistent. Either investigate everything, or don't investigate anything.

It’s just another form of control which they won’t give up. Much like the way they control officials.

I’m optimistic that Giannis is signing the supermax and hopeful the Bucks can keep him for years to come.

That said, if he wasn’t going to do that, this report about Giannis preferring Bogdan vs Holiday would be the kind of thing leaked in advance.

However for my own sanity I’m going to choose to believe Giannis signs the extension and gives the Bucks at least a season or two (long enough to get Jrue to extend) to see whether the team was right to prioritize Holiday over Bogdan.

We didn't follow the standard though. If we had done it properly, things would have been more like this..

"Kings prepared to let Bogdonavich enter Restricted Free Agency"

"Reports from the Bogdonavich camp that he would re-sign if traded to Bucks"

(nothing from Bucks because they literally aren't allowed to say the word Bogdan at this point)

TMZ RUMOR! Giannis called Bogdan to recruit him to Bucks???

(things heat up but Horst deflects everything saying they're working on everything they can do to get Giannis extension done)

Friday at 6:01pm Woj and Shams get a text from the Kings and it's all over Twitter

Friday at 6:30pm Horst holds a press conference where he presents his balls on the podium and nothing else. No questions.

Instead, we got our owner calling it right out for every other owner to hear. LeBron, filling in for Buss, was probably like "what the ****? do you know what kind of hoops I have to jump through to tamper like that? What do we have rules for? Nevermind how I feel about the idea of a team in Milwaukee beating me in the Finals with two European stars. It's already bull he's winning MVPs instead of me" and calls foul.

Is LeBron a dick in this scenario? Kinda, but he has a point too. Lasry will write this off saying he is just inexperienced and next year he'll bring more energy and effort to the league meetings.

Like i said - Giannis doesn't seem too bothered right now. He also doesn't strike me as someone who's going to want to deal with it all year.

I want to believe.

But whoever talked to Jake Fischer from Bleacher Report conveyed that Giannis very well might be bothered:

Adding Holiday was an obvious upgrade, but Bogdanovic was communicated as Antetokoumpo's preferred addition all offseason. The Antetokounmpo brothers had tried to lure him with the promise of forming a Big Three with Giannis and Khris Middleton. Holiday was an added bonus.

Where if ever has there been an instance of a team agreeing to a sign and trade WELL before teams are even allowed to discuss contracts? I agree there's some level of look the other way the league employs, but our version of tampering was us running down the middle of a busy street butt ass naked yelling that we cheated.

I don't think there's a double standard for the situation we've found ourselves in.

Okay, and what about the sources disputing that Lasry was doing any of that? I'm not going to side one way or the other but I'm not going to ignore one side over the other either.

Players have to be in their home market by 11/30, I'd expect Giannis to be home in a day or two.

Are the other owners saying different because he can bust every single one of them? Or did he really not do that.

I believe that Giannis is smart enough to see that a “big three” of...

Giannis, Khris and Jrue >> Giannis, Khris and Bogdan

Yeah...Bogdan seemed like the added bonus...

Giannis would love to play with Bogdan and he would have been elated to play with both Jrue and Bogdan.

I think everyone for the most part on this board can agree to this. However, I am a little...unsure of how either brother thought that Bogdan was the 3rd piece of the big 3 vs. Jrue. It just sounds laughable.
