Trae/Bogdan/Hunter/Gallo/Okongwu?

That's tough. Hunter and Okongwu are by far the best defenders but Okongwu is a rookie. Trae and Bogdan isn't really an idea defensive tandem at the POA. It's tough.

What happened to clint capela? Okongwu probably has the most potential but Capela is the best player overall right now.

Hmmm I do agree but I just dont think you're drafting a rookie that high and not giving him reps? You're probably right but I wonder what they do with Capela

No. Hawks are going to be sneaky good if healthy. Our offense is gunna be anemic and our defense will fall off a little.

I mean the most recent team without a superstar that made the finals which comes to mind is Miami. 2020. (And no, Jimmy Butler is not a superstar)

Jimmy isn’t a superstar?

3x all nba and 4x defensive team along with 5 time all star in his prime who is a top 10 player is not a superstar?

Why because it doesn’t fit your narrative?

If people consider Vince a superstar, how is Jimmy not one, at least this year with the step he has taken.

he's def a superstar. He shoots a very high percentage, good passer, great team player, elite defense, clutch af. He was the most consistent, clutch player when we played Philly #facts.

If Kawhi doesn't hit that shot? Jimmy would have been the star last year if they pulled it out in overtime. Took Minny to the playoffs before that.

He's just a winner. Top 10 player imo

We have to watch how the season unravels to know for sure but the Raptors 4 best players from last season are still here so I would think they end with a better record than the Hawks. The only way I see the Raptors lower than the Hawks is if Lowry regresses a lot or we catch the injury bug.

GM already said he’s coming off the bench.

Wow, apparently it’s true. I wouldn’t have expected that. Thanks.

We're going to struggle to score. Our primary scoring options are from the perimeter, we don't have any inside scoring presence.

Yeah, big factors are chemistry and experience. Hawks still have to figure out their chemistry with a lot of new players and Trae has to share the ball more.

100% true, their production won't drop as much as others believe it will.

Lol - Pooh Jeter going back and retroactively and-1'ing my posts about the raps being better than the Hawks. What a sad man.

Season's not over yet buddy. Talk to me when it is.

Let's not forgot your insistence that LAST YEARS version of the nets (missing Kyrie, Durant, Dinwiddie, Prince, DJ, etc) were a more talented team than the raptors, and would knock them out in RD 1.

Those that live in glass houses ...

There was a lot of vitriol directed at OP, I feel they had a valid discussion point to bring up.

We should be open to all perspectives.

Yes. We beat Brooklyn
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Not sure why everyone gave dude so much hate for his opinion in the first place. It was clear to most of us that they would at least be comparable in the standings. As it stands he’s currently correct and people treated him like he was out of his mind. The raptor fan pride can get in the way of objective views sometimes.

Both eastern conference juggernauts will be battling it out for the 6th seed this season imo.

70% of the league should tank for a top 5 pick.

Maybe, but not us. We have a team full of champions.
