If ben is getting traded it’s gonna be something about your username

Lillard is a bad man. Would be equal value, but would have preferred this before the draft and FA to build around. Dame/Embiid is a great duo.

Not someone who wants to trade Ben, but this is the same type of "Harden " trade value that has been floated.

bad take. also "framework" implies that there could be value added on either side if you took such offense to the value proposed. even though the blazers would rightfully not add any value to that trade

Lillard is probably a better fit purely from a fit perspective with Embiid given he's a better 3-point shooter and plays better off-ball.

Lillard and Embiid would be sweet, but you don't trade a 24 Ben Simmons. Not at this stage of his career.

Dame Lillard is one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Also, he's one of the "jack all the threes, play no defense" guys. De'Aaron Fox or Donovan Mitchell are the only acceptable trade targets out West for Simmons, imo.

I'll take Lillard after his awful contract runs out as a 10-15 mpg 10th man on the vet minimum. He can be our Trey Burke. No way am I giving up one of the strongest defenders in the sport for a low impact player like him on a ridiculous albatross contract. All style, no substance.

not sure if I should argue with you now or wait till next year for the pendulum to swing all the way back to defense doesn't matter and shot creation and three level scoring is the only important thing in the NBA

TJ Warren says hi.

You are reaching epic levels of troll and you know it. Ben Simmons struggles to average 13ppg in the playoffs, he better be able to defend. AND he’ll still get lit up by a real superstar when they put their mind to it (see Leonard, Kawhi).

Swap Ben for Lillard and the Blazers struggle to win 30 games out West.

“Simmons struggles to average 13ppg in the playoffs” HAHAH bro you say that like he’s taking 20 shots a game and shooting 30 percent from the field to average 13. GTFO. So many box score watching fans who get off on ppg on this forum I’m literally sooo sick of it. Stop making our fan base look like they don’t know what they are talking about or watching

Yeah, lets pretend that Ben isn't negative in half court posessions against any solid defence.

Not as well as a Tobias for McCollum deal would.

I don’t even know why I’m entertaining this, but you do know it’s a legit skill to even be able to get up 20 shots in a NBA playoff game consistently right? Ben Simmons hasn’t even demonstrated the ability to do THAT. So yes, he does struggle.

Leonard shot 40% in that series vs Ben, tick under 60% vs everyone else.

That’s cool.

It’s still not enough to make him better than a Lillard if he’s going to continue being comatose (if not a downright negative) on the other end in the playoffs for 180M.

Lillard would be a huge help but the situation makes zero sense now. He's the face of the franchise and the player the team's built around, and the team is both popular and not remotely interested in rebuilding at the moment. Entire idea is a non-starter, no need to spin wheels about it.

So take him off the ball...

The answer isn't to trade him for tiny G that shoots 10 threes a game and doesn't play defense that is due to make $50m and $54M at ages 34 and 35. Damien Lillard is one of the worst contracts in the sport. And he's an offense-only star that doesn't impact that game all that much.

There are 6'2" and under scoring guards that don't play defense in every draft. Hell, we just got Maxey at pick #21. No way am I giving up a defensive phenom like Simmons for a low-impact guy like that.
