Evan Mobley - USC

needs his own thread, IMO best big prospect since Towns, multi-level, multi-position big that can create on his own, stretch, score inside and defend.

Right now Cade is my number one but I’m definitely feeling better if okc doesn’t get number one. His performance this week was so well rounded. I read some comments about him not being athletic. I don’t see a non-athlete at all. He’s definitely more fluid than dynamic but I think I would prefer that in the modern nba.

i think Cade+SGA would be too tempting to pass up in the back court for you guys

The success of your current PG, Luka, and even D-Lo speaks to the point that it's not always necessary to be Uber dynamic if high level skill is there. But in general this draft would provide you guys with strong additions to build along with SGA even if it's not a number 1.

How long you give that combo before best back court in the association convo becomes legit?

probably within a couple of years, they are that good, two 6-7 dudes that can score, pass and defend? ridiculous.

Agreed. However Moberly looks like a great consolation prize if things don’t go our way. Perhaps I’m just used to watching a more clumsy brute center in Steven adams, but Mobley impressed me. I’m higher on bigs in the modern NBA than a lot of people.

Always felt like the guard takeover was only going to last as long as it took bigs to bridge the skill gap. Size is always unteachable so always priority one IMO. The PnP PnR plus perimeter and rim protection potential combo of SGA and Mobes makes sense. Sets the foundation of mobile size at two key positions. I wouldn't be so curious about what's at the top because there are options at each position. I'd be looking at the additional first rounders and figuring out what fits there.

Shai can pass and defend? Half kidding but I think Cade is good enough that he'd elevate almost any backcourt mate into top tier backcourt talks.

Yep I agree. We may never see a team emulate the warriors level of small ball. This kind of feel is his first collegiate game really impressed me.

Im biased because USC is my team, but Mobley should be number 1. Love Cade, but he's like Carmelo. And Carmelo was never Dwyane Wade.

So he really isn't the best big man prospect since KAT, is he?

Maybe don't use hyperboles when they aren't warranted just for dramatic effect and making a point

i don't classify Zion as a traditional big, I classify him as forward who can be your big in certain sets, so yes, Mobley is the best (traditional) big prospect since Towns, and that's not hyperbole.

and considering I was the first one on here to call Zion a generational prospect when he was in HS, i'm well aware of where he stands as a prospect, thanks.
