CeltsfanSinceBirth wrote:This is perfect. IMO, players need a coach who's been through the same ups and downs that they're going through. They need a big brother. Evan Turner is a pretty cool guy, and even if he comes down hard on our guys, he's going to do it in a manner that isn't angry.

On Lebron James- April 10th, 2015
“I threw away my LeBron poster in high school,” Turner said, “so I don’t care how much he played tonight.”

Don't discount what Kara did for this team though. She filled the player-assistant role (with Jerome Allen) really well.
ET is replacing her spot IMO

Except Evan was/is extremely respected in nba locker rooms, is well known as a great chemistry guy. There’s no reason that wouldn’t carry over to coaching. Complaining about this hire is silly, you literally have zero clue about how he will be as a coach.
It’s a low risk, high upside hire.

Yeah, a couple of goofball quotes to play to the media is not the sum total of a man's life. I don't know that he's going to do a great job, but I assume Brad knows a lot more about his character than we do.
Besides, he was a multi-tool player. 10/5/5 when he was with us. There's a couple of kids on the roster that, if they could have a Turner-caliber career, we'd take it gladly.
