Klay/Draymond, Ray Allen, Baylor or old Chamberlain, depends on who you got 3rd.

James Worthy . 3rd guy to Magic & Kareem. Hall of Famer

Robert Parrish . 3rd guy to Bird & Mchale in their title runs

Töny Parker or Manu... depending on who Spurs fans think is the 3rd guy in that big 3

Chris Bosh to Lebron & Dwade

Ray Allen to KG & PP

Well, let's see. Is Russia still taking over European neighbors? Is it still trying to destroy the democratic process in countries like America? Is it still an autocracy without free elections? Have we dropped nukes on each other yet?

I'm going with, um, yeah.

In terms of talent it’s Chris Bosh. He was an 11x all star. In terms of impact it’s probably someone like 2016 Draymond. Bosh really sacrificed for Lebron and became a much less effective role player. Worthy is probably the best answer over several seasons.

Edit: you have to wonder what it might have looked like had CB and LBJ teamed up without DWade. 2011 Bosh could've been 95% of what we saw from AD in the bubble. He was a tremendous athlete at 6'11 though perhaps not the defensive impact guy. He's a good candidate for someone who's star might've risen higher in the all time discussions had he played things differently.

penbeast0 wrote:Bobby Jones on the Sixers behind Moses and Dr. J is a good candidate too, his value is a lot higher than his scoring though limited by his limited minutes (he was the 6th man, but like Manu on the Spurs, he was better and I believe played more than the starter). And Andrew Toney is a decent argument for 4th best (outside the 2017 Warriors), and as long as we are there, Maurice Cheeks for best 5th man is a serious candidate! Or whichever way you arrange Cheeks, Toney, and Jones for value.

On no planet was Andrew Toney better/more valuable than Mo Cheeks [in my not so humble opinion]. To back that assertion up with some numbers.....

*Every year from '82-'85 Cheeks *edges Toney in all three main bbref advanced rate metrics (PER, WS/48, and BPM), except for being slimly behind in PER [only] in '84 [only], while simultaneously edging him in mpg. *he actually crushes him in BPM.

**Cheeks also bests him in net rating in each of these years; the closest Toney ever is to him is in '84 where he is a +1 to Cheeks' +8.

***Cheeks destroys him in on/off, and destroys him in PIPM (Toney ranges from +1.0 to +1.5 in these four seasons.......Cheeks ranges from +2.1 ['84] to as high as +3.7 ['82]).

For that matter, I think Cheeks was clearly more valuable than Bobby Jones in these years, too, particularly given the disparity in playing time.

Overall, I'd probably put Cheeks a pinch behind at least 1-2 other "3rd man" guys in history; but that team may be in the running for best 4th and/or 5th man with that line-up.

Wouldn't have him as the best, but Shawn Marion with the Suns should at least get a mention here.

He kinda was closer to an #1 than to a #3, honestly.

In the last 30 years I would say Chris Bosh. I dont know that he is the most impactful 3 but i think he was the best player. He went to MIami in the prime of his career after averaging 23/10 the prior 5 seasons, all of which he was an all star.

Lebron James

Klay Thompson, Chris Bosh, Dennis Rodman. Kyrie will be here as well should the Nets win.

Current Kyrie (or Harden if you put him that 3 spot)

I mean hard pressed to find a 3rd option who will give you 28/6/5 on 50/40/90 62 TS%

I'm gonna say Parish. Just a steady and efficient game at the center spot for the celtics.

Could it be because the Suns never won it all? Thus no mention. We are talking about best ever in NBA history
