Lol I’m glad I’m not a Clips fan, this is becoming sad now. How hard is it to just keep your mouth shut, go into the off-season, train and do better next time? Kawhi **** the bed during the Nuggets series but at least he isn’t running his mouth publicly like an idiot.

I meaaaan... no one is going to give Paul George the benefit of the doubt right now, and that's fair.

But a borderline top 10 player like that... playing that bad without a known injury, the coach does have to accept some of the blame. Paul George has played well against good teams in the playoffs before, and I don't see that his game has dropped off in any obvious way. He never looked great last year on the Clippers, and some % of that is how he was used. He's not wrong describing how Doc used him. Paul George is a very good shooter but not Ray Allen or JJ good, especially not out of that specific action. Paul George IS however: a 6'9 elite athlete with a sick pull up game... thought we rarely felt that last year.

Hoping PG bounces back next season and we get to see the Clippers we thought we'd see last year. If not, it's a bad look for everyone involved.

It'll be interesting to see how Clips come out this year. Things still seem to be a bit rotten. No clearcut vocal leader. The 2 superstars will still want preferential treatment. Lou is still there (I'm certain he's gone by TDL) and there is no good point guard in place. Marcus Morris and Zu (the starting center) had locker room issues. Lue might be a better Xs & Os guy than Doc, but he will need a lot more than that to right that ship.

Paul George showing no class. He played like garbage, choked, but it was Doc River's fault? This Clippers apologist tour is embarrassing. I watched those games, Kawhi and Paul George shrank when they had to step up. They gave up.

He probably should have just balled out this year and let the critics figure out DOC was the issue. He just put more pressure on himself to perform.

No doubt. I hope Philly is his last chance to prove he's nothing more than a fraud. For years I've said that his 2008 championship was a product of an unprecedented collection of star talent combined with the best defensive assistant coach in the league at the time. His coaching had less to do with that title than people realize.

What I think he meant to say is:

PG seems to have a problem blaming himself for his downfalls. He also seems to have some mental issues and blames his coworkers for issues he needs to deal with on his own.
From my observations, he didn't show any leadership qualities during the bubble, but Doc is easy to blame. Doc is the type of coach that gives his players a great deal of freedom. Doc is also a Champion!
